“You are sick!” she exclaimed, sensing the heat from him. “You had a fever, Demitri.” Demitri's one hand was on the side of the doorway. “I know I am sick. So why are you here?” One of her eyebrows arcs upward. “Did you forget we will sing in the contest tomorrow?” She can't help but raise the decibel of her voice. Demitri strokes his dry messy hair, leaning his back in the door, closing his eyes, and sighed. This was the first time seeing how weak and tired he is. “I forgot.” He scratched his left jaw and stared at her. “Meet me in the back of the school garden.” “You are sick, Demitri. Maybe it's a good excuse for us not to sing right?” An idea emerged to Kristel, probably the one who held this singing contest will understand why they needed to back off because her partner was sick.
