"Bah! Stupid boy!" Boone yelled and looked at Wolfe "Hey boy! That's ye friend right!?" "He was pappa" "That little snitch needs te bring me my money!" "Technically he didn't feed the wolf Boone! He owes you nothing" Wolfe bit at him. "Oh! A wise guy hey! Well see how long that favours you!" Boone said and wove a hand at his men "Close it!" The four men drew the drapes over the cage, a last glimpse from Blair made her whisper to him "I'm sorry" Wolfe ran off into the direction Jeremy went, if he knew his friend as well as he did, he will definitely go to that creek they always spent time in... But what did he want with that piece of meat? Wolfe begged in his mind it was to feed some cougar or something, Blair's face back there indicated to him there was no way of helping Jeremy. He broke through the brush, and headed over a small incline, there he stopped. Down below he could see the creek, and off to it's right Jeremy sat with his back to him. Wolfe slowly descended into the holler, trying as much as he could not to make too much noise. When he was right by Jeremy the crackle of the leaves under his feet made the boy swing around, but to Wolfe's dismay the red on his mouth confirmed his suspicions. "f**k! Wolfe why did you follow me!? Is that bastard father of yours such a greedy bastard! He hunts more elk than he f*****g needs! He's got enough meat!" Jeremy yelled wiping his mouth. "Calm down Jeremy! I'm not here for the meat!" Wolfe said holding his hands up. Jeremy glared at him then took another mouth full of the meat. "It always..." He spoke with whilst chewing "It always gets this bad! Just before a full moon!" Jeremy had tears in his eyes. "And it's all your fault!" "If you knew it was me Jeremy! Why not tell anyone! Who knows how many people I might have killed!" "You're a coward Wolfe! If that worries you why not put a bullet between your eyes!" "I...! I..." "See!?" Jeremy bit into the meat again "But don't worry, it won't works anyways, I tried it, I tried killing myself Wolfe! It doesn't work! I figured the full moon brings you back! And all that happens is I wake up with blood on my chest! Always wondering who's blood!" "f**k Jeremy...!" Wolfe looked away in shame "I, I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry" "I want out of this Wolfe! I can't escape this nightmare!" Wolfe looked up "I, have a way..." Jeremy stopped eating "You do?" "Yes, you have to come with me..." Wolfe turned and started heading up the holler again. "You better not be talking s**t Wolfe!" "I am not! Just come! Clean your face and bring that meat" Jeremy washed his face in the creek and ran up to catch Wolfe "How long have you been one?" "About, a year, maybe more" "How did you become one?" "I, don't remember, I just woke up one day being one, I know someone who can explain to us" "Who?" Wolfe smiled at him "You didn't see the large black wolf in the cage?" "Yes? But any i***t knows that's just an abnormally large wolf" "Any i***t right? But the fact that she's that big and her eyes are purple, that's what's locking in the mindset of her being a werewolf" Jeremy frowned "So, she's... A real wolf?" "In a manner, she is... But isn't..." "Stop screwen around Wolfe" "I'm not! Just come and meet her" "Meet her?" "Yes, you'd be surprised at what she really is" Jeremy gave him an unsatisfied stare "What she really is?" "Ok ok! I can't keep it in, she's this downright beautiful young Indian girl, her name is Blair, and she has these mystical Shawnee powers" Jeremy burst out with laughter "Shawnee? That has nothing to do with any kind of powers nimwit, the Shawnee is a tribe of Indians, just like the Cherokee and the Apache" "Ok? But she is native American, I just never bothered... Wait! She's from the Ani... Aniwaka clan or something" Jeremy laughed again "You never bothered listening at school did you? It's Aniwaya, and it's a sub clan of the Cherokee" "Oh, wow aint you a knowitall?" Wolfe said. "Shutup Wolfe! Regardless of anything you told me I'm not believing a cent of it, all that hocus pocus nonsense about native American spirits are as I said, nonsense, I don't believe in that s**t" Wolfe smiled kindly at him "Then, I need to make you believe right?" Jeremy grunted "No s**t. Why do you want me to bring the meat back?" "Because she wanted that meat badly" Jeremy looked at it in his arms, then took another bite "Well I saw it first" "Pff, you greedy asshole!" "Whatever Wolfe, if, let's say if she's this amazing Cherokee shaman, you think she can fix me?" "I, I'm not sure" "What did she tell you? Can she fix you?" "She already did" Jeremy jerked his head to him "What? How?" "She made me drink some of her blood, and, well apparently I'll have control over myself tonight" "That's aload of bullshit if I ever heard it" "Think what you want, but don't expect anything great Jeremy" They came to the shed and Boone stood outside waiting for him. "Ye snibbly bastard! What ye be running of with my meat for boy!" "Oh shutup you redneck bastard! I already took some of this meat so if you want it back here then!" Jeremy yelled throwing him with the chunk. "Bah! f**k! You disrespectful little swine! I'll tell ye mother about this!" He yelled leaving. "Go then you fat bastard tell her! You forget she's already dead! Try speaking to her now you stupid pig!" Jeremy called after him. "Wow" Wolfe said next to him "You really did grow a large set of brass balls haven't you" "He's lucky I didn't eat him" Jeremy snickered making the two laugh. "Come, the shed seems quiet, let's go in" Wolfe said opening the door.
