I spent the first hour after the planning session updating my will. Sat at my desk with legal documents and tried to figure out how to distribute my life if I died tonight. Shadow Creek went to Marcus as acting Alpha until the twins came of age. The twins themselves went to Elder Iris for raising, with Kai having visitation rights if he survived. My mother's journal went to Luna. My father's wedding ring went to Aiden. Everything else got divided among the pack members who'd stood with me from the beginning.
It felt surreal. Writing instructions for my own death. Planning for a future I wouldn't see. But if tonight went wrong, if Marcus Stone killed me, someone needed to know what I wanted. Someone needed to make sure the twins were raised right.
