They had found a place that was only seriously expensive, rather than immediately ruinous; but since seriously expensive is about as cheap as a London hotel room gets, they realised they would have to move out of town, since Penny, not intending to return to her job, was at least temporarily not best placed to finance an extravagant lifestyle.
