Chapter 6 Dump in The Trash

Every word that came out of her mouth was venom. Aiden froze. "Anya, I get that you don't like Harper. But you can't just fake a video and frame her like that." Anya got to her feet and let out a cold laugh, her eyes full of pure contempt. "Aiden, not only are you blind, you're stupid too. Like, unbelievably stupid." She grabbed her suitcase, ready to walk out for good. Right then, Everly called. "Aiden, Harper's heart condition is acting up again. The doctor said if she doesn't get heart blood soon, she's not going to make it..." Her voice broke into sobs. "What do we do? Isla's gone. Who else has RH-negative blood?" Aiden's gaze slowly landed on Anya. After a long pause, he spoke. "Tell the doctors to prep. I'll bring someone over in thirty minutes." He hung up and walked straight toward her. "Anya, I know asking for your heart blood to save Harper is cruel. But the doctor said she's in critical condition. I just need you to do this one more time." His voice softened. "If you agree, whatever you want, I'll give it to you." Anya's anger exploded. "Aiden, wasn't ruining Isla's life enough for you? Now you want to ruin mine too?" At the mention of Isla, his pupils tightened. But he still hardened his expression. "Just this once. I'll make sure the doctors are careful. You won't get hurt." Before she could say another word, a group of bodyguards rushed in and dragged her away. The moment Anya arrived at the hospital, she was forced into a series of tests. Under Everly's thrilled gaze, she was wheeled straight into the operating room. Everly said, "Anya, do you know your daughter died on this very table?" Everly slowly ran her hand across the cold surface, her voice low and eerie. "Didn't expect that, huh? You and your daughter stole everything that belonged to me and mine. Now you're finally paying it back." Anya's heart pounded, anger and fear twisting together. "Everly, what are you planning?" Everly looked down at her, arrogance written all over her face. "Didn't you always want to know how your daughter died? Now you get to experience it for yourself." She handed over a sharp scalpel. "Don't give her anesthesia. Just sedate her. I want her to watch exactly how her heart gets cut out." "Ms. Mason... Mr. Stone specifically told us to keep Mrs. Stone safe. If he finds out..." The doctor hesitated, but one glare from Everly shut him up. "What are you scared of? Aiden loves me. Even if he knows, he won't do a thing. Isla died and he didn't even care, remember? Just do as I said." The doctors didn't dare argue anymore. They injected Anya with something else. Her limbs went weak. Her head spun. Her vision blurred. But the pain was terrifyingly clear. She could feel everything. Anya felt the scalpel slice into her chest, layer by layer, cutting through muscle, pushing deeper, searching for her heart. The moment the blade pierced it, her whole body shook violently. Cold sweat soaked her skin. She forced her eyes open, hatred burning inside them. Only now did she truly understand the pain her daughter had gone through. "Ms. Mason, what should we do with the blood? Same as before, dump it in the trash?" "Of course." Everly glanced at the bright red blood with clear disgust. "Just like Isla's surgery. After you're done, don't close the wound. I want her to feel exactly what Isla felt." She covered her nose and walked out. Warm blood poured straight into the trash bin, slowly pooling at the bottom. Anya's vision dimmed. Her body turned colder and colder. Just as she thought she would die here, just like her daughter, the operating room doors burst open. A tall figure rushed in. "Anya, are you okay?" His voice was full of panic. He pulled out a gun and pressed it to the doctor's temple. "Start saving her now. If anything happens to her, I swear your whole family is done." The doctors trembled with fear as they hurried to inject the anesthetic, stop the bleeding, administer blood transfusions, and stitch up her wounds. Anya felt her eyelids grow heavy, like they weighed a thousand pounds. Her mind slipped into a haze. But her body slowly grew warm again. "Go to sleep, Anya. I'm here. You'll be fine." Hearing that familiar voice, she finally closed her eyes. A tear slid down her cheek. But there was a faint smile on her lips. From this moment on, no matter how long the road ahead was, she and Aiden would never meet again.
