“Wake up Emmaline.” I smiled when she didn’t move. Her brown hair was covering her face so I brushed some of it aside with my fingers. Perhaps my Emmaline would be okay with cutting it a little. With hair as thick and as long as hers she was bound to get headaches. “Miele, we are about to land.” Still no reply. I let her sleep when we got to the airport and I carried her onto the private plane our Alpha owned. I laid her on the couch with Ozzy while I got some work done with Gunter before our return to the pack. We were getting ready to land and she was still asleep.
(She is sleeping so her wolf can heal her.) Silvio said as I continued to try and wake her up gently.
‘I know, but she needs to get up, I don’t want her to have to use the bathroom in the city.’ He grumbled but seemed to agree, we hated cities, but I needed her to have nice clothes she would be comfortable in. I sighed as I picked her small body up off the couch and brought her to the small bathroom of the airplane. I wet my hand before flicking the water in her face. She growled and instantly fell back to sleep so I did it again. This time she whimpered, I noticed her face scrunched up in pain as she moved.
“It’s alright Emmaline.” She huffed before yawning and taking her hands and rubbing her eyes. She tried stretching which was awkward seeing as I was still holding her.
“Where are we?” I looked at her and my heart skipped a few beats. She was so small and too pure for our world. Her round grey eyes were nearly silver and her light skin was regaining some of its hue making her look less sickly. She still had a nasty looking bruise on the bridge of her nose that was turning an ugly yellow color. Her lips were shaped like a bow, they were a perfect shade of pink that matched her face. I struggled not claiming them with mine every time I looked at her.
“We’re in the airplane miele, you need to use the restroom before we go into the city.” She scrunched up her face and I set her down, her bare feet touched the tile and she looked at her toes as she pulled up the legs of her pants.
“Where are my shoes?” She asked while pouting.
“They're near the couch where you slept, I took them off once we boarded.” I said leaning down and pressing my lips to her forehead. When I pulled away she had a look of confusion on her face. “I’ll be outside when you’re done.” I left her in the bathroom and closed the door. I went back to my seat where Gunter smirked and looked down at her shoes.
She chose a pair of rainbow converse, they were pastel so not too flashy, but I could tell they suited her. I sighed as I looked back to Gunter who raised an eyebrow.
{I want to tell her about Wrath, but I have no idea how to start the conversation. If she is afraid of me now, she’ll be terrified after she sees him.} I spoke in German, rarely did I speak english. It was one of my least favorite languages to speak. I would have to teach Emmaline Italian and German. I popped a small piece of gum in my mouth as I readied myself for the descent.
{Wrath, Vengeance and Terror are parts of us, our mates are made for us Raphael, made for them too.}
{We weren’t born with them Gunter, the moon goddess didn’t plan on our worst sides when she paired us with our mates. Just look at how small and innocent Emmaline is. No way in hell the moon goddess would pair her with a monster like myself.}
{Or maybe she did, it wasn’t exactly chance we ran into the beast who cursed us.} I was going to respond but I heard Emmaline come out of the bathroom. She walked over to the couch and smiled when she saw her shoes.
{Your mate reminds me of a puppy Raphael.} Gamma Elias said as he watched her put on her shoes, a huge smile on her face as she did so.
I ignored our Gamma and watched as Emmaline woke up her sleeping brother. I liked Ozzy, he was a good kid, he was innocent as she was. Somehow they lit up the atmosphere with their excited giggling and talk.
“What do you two think about getting hair cuts?” I asked. Ozzy had long hair too, instead of to his ass it reached his mid-back. They both gave me confused looks which was becoming common. “Emmaline do you get a lot of headaches?” She nodded and looked at Ozzy who scrunched his nose.
“Yeah, how did you know?” She finally voiced.
“Your hair is really long and super thick.” I glared at Tobais who like an overgrown teenager laughed. “Meaning your hair is really heavy and is a cause for headaches.” Her round eyes widened as she looked at her brother who shrugged.
“How much will I get cut?”
“That is up to you.” She smiled and began playing with her snarled locks. Ozzy played with his too and looked at Emmaline with a smile.
“We could match.” She laughed and nodded.
“I’m not having really short hair though, I like playing with it.” Tobias snorted as he tried to contain another chuckle.
“What do you think, at our shoulders?” Ozzy asked, Emmaline nodded and smiled at me before she winced and stuck a finger in her ear.
“Ow.” I went over to her and handed them each a piece of gum. Emmaline began chewing hers with wide eyes.
“Don’t swallow it, just keep chewing until we’re on the ground, it’ll help.” I felt myself mirror the smile she offered me. I took her hand and let the mate sparks dance on our skin, spinning and tingling their way through our souls.
“It’s cold, but it burns.” Ozzy said while chewing with his mouth open.
“Kind of like toothpaste.” Emmaline added, I chuckled at them just like the rest of the wolves. "What?" She asked looking at me with her utterly captivating eyes.
"You two are the most innocent wolves I have ever met." I told her, she smiled and looked down at my hand, she took her free hand and began tracing the veins that were visible.
"Thank you?" She asked while wrinkling her nose. "I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not."
"Well it wasn't meant to be an insult." I said trying to keep Silvio at bay, he loved the way she touched our skin. Her fingers were light, it was if she was trying to tease us. It was taking everything in my power to not pick her up and f**k her in the bathroom.
"Do you have any tattoos?" She spoke lightly, her words hardly reaching my ears.
"I do." I said looking at her right hand where she had an arrow on her middle finger and a crescent moon at the base of her thumb. She beamed up at me and her eyes lit up.
"Can I see them?" I smiled and leaned down so my lips were right next to her ear.
"Later miele, some of them are not in places anyone else would like to see."
"Where?" She whispered back, her warm breath tickling my ear.
"I'll show you once we get back to Germany." I said before I nipped her earlobe with my teeth, I felt her shudder before I pulled away. Her eyes were hazy and I knew she was speaking to her wolf. It was a short conversation before she was looking at me with clear eyes. "What did your wolf say?" I asked. Her cheeks turned bright red as she hid her face from me. I guess her wolf wasn't as innocent as my Emmaline.
"I have a question?" She stated scrunching her nose.
"Maybe I have an answer." She giggled nervously.
"I've read a few books on werewolves...I know I am one, but I didn't exactly have people to go to with questions." I nodded and gently squeezed her hand. "In one of the books a werewolf has to drink a wolfsbane infused water or something to change her pack. Do Ozzy and I have to do that?" I sighed.
"Normally yes, but Ozzy doesn't have his wolf yet, so his loyalty will lie in whichever pack he shifts in. Eventually you will have to, even though the Cold-stone pack and Alpha are dead you carry their link. Once your wolf is strong enough and you have shifted a few times we'll have you cut those ties. If you were to drink the bond severing potion in your condition, your wolf would die." She nodded and clenched her hand in mine.
"Do you have a library at your pack?" I nodded and she smiled, making her happy was easily my new favorite thing. "What kind of books do you have?"
"Everything." She sighed dreamily and her eye became glassy as she drifted off into her own little world with a smile on her face.
"I wouldn't expect to see to much of my sister for the first few days at Dark-moon." Ozzy laughed while looking at her.
"What do you like to do Ozzy?" He shrugged.
"I like training, and sports. I like watching movies, our favorite days were when Alpha Grizz brought the projector out." I smirked at him.
"Projector?" He nodded as he smiled.
"Yeah, he would bring out the roll of film and set up the projector so we could watch the movie on the wall. Emma really like the movie Black beauty and Old Yeller."
"Those are old movies." Keifer remarked.
"Our pack only had 5 to choose from." Ozzy said.
"I think both of you are going to be holed up once we get back to Dark-moon." Gunter said. {Do you think Emma would be okay with a quick stop to the Day-break pack in Rome?}
{If we are going to Italy we should have gone shopping in Milan.}
{I just thought of it asshole.}
{Let's see how she handles the city first.}
"What are you talking about?" Emmaline asked as she leaned her head on my arm. "I heard my name."
"Alpha Gunter would like to visit a pack in Rome."
"Can we go to the Colosseum?" I nodded and chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Oh and the pantheon and Roman forum and Palatine Hill." She and Ozzy began talking about Roman history and culture.
(I would say its a yes for Rome.) I said in the mind link to Gunter who was watching Emmaline with a small grin.
"You know after you get settled in at home we could always take a vacation." She smiled and mulled over my words.
"We'll have to visit Greece, I want to see the temple of Athena." Of course she would want to see the temple of the goddess of war and wisdom.
"I mean no offense Miss Emma, but how did you get an education? Seeing how you were treated it would be surprising that you were allowed to go to school" Keifer asked her.
"None taken, and I didn't go to school. Our library wasn't large and it mostly had old books in it, but there were a few textbooks from different subjects that I found myself reading. My favorites were on the histories of other countries. Math and science were kind of boring, but history was fun."
"I'm not surprised that you taught yourself, you seem very sharp." She grinned at Gunter, her face changed however when the plane landed on the runway jostling us all. She gripped my arm tightly, I used my free hand to push some hair from her face and she gave me a nervous smile.
"Is it over?" I nodded and leaned down, pressing my lips to her forehead.
"It is."
"How long will it take to go shopping?"
"I don't know, why do you ask?" She pointed out the window where the sun was sinking from the sky.
"Looks like we'll have to find a hotel for the night." Gunter said standing up. "No bother though." I nodded as the rest of us stood. The pilot came to the cabin from the cockpit along with the flight attendant and copilot. They opened the door and began leaving once the stairs were put in place. I held Emmaline's hand as we walked down. When we were on the ground a large black SUV rolled up.
We all got in and drove to a five star hotel close to time's square. That was were we were going to stay the night, we booked the last three rooms. Gunter and Elias got one room while Keifer and Tobias were in another. The last was for myself Emmaline and Ozzy.
