My professor just walked in seven minutes ago, and I couldn't help but notice him. His clear skin and messy dark hair made him look like he just rolled out of bed and strolled into class. I felt a slight flutter in my chest, but I quickly pushed it aside. I was here to learn, not to get distracted by some cute guy. I refocused on the lecture, trying to absorb every word. But it wasn't easy. The professor was droning on and on about the dos and don'ts of law school, and I found myself zoning out. This was intense. One lecture in, and I already felt like I was drowning in a sea of legal jargon. As the professor finally wrapped up the lecture, I let out a silent sigh of relief. I packed up my things, ready to make a quick escape. But as I stood up, I found myself face to face with the cute guy from earlier. He smiled at me, his bright blue eyes sparkling with warmth. "Hi," he said, his Italian accent sending a slight shiver down my spine. I raised an eyebrow, trying to play it cool. "Oh, hi," I replied, my tone dripping with sarcasm. "I didn't notice you standing there, looming over me like a creepy stalker." He chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Sorry about that," he said, holding out his hand. "I'm Alessandro. But my friends call me Alex." I took his hand, trying to ignore the spark of electricity that ran through me. "Sydney," I replied, my tone still laced with sarcasm. "But my friends call me Syd. Nice to meet you, Alex." Alex smiled, his eyes never leaving mine. "Nice to meet you too, Syd," he said, his voice low and smooth. Here's the continuation of the chapter: As I dropped Alex's hand, I smiled sweetly and said, "Well, it was nice meeting you, Alex. But I really should get going." I walked around him, trying to make a quick escape. But Alex was hot on my heels, falling into step beside me. "Hey, Syd, want to walk to our next class together?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. I raised an eyebrow, trying to stifle a giggle. "Oh, Alex, you're so cheesy," I teased, shaking my head. "I mean, come on, 'walk to class together'? That's like something out of a bad rom-com." Alex chuckled, his face flushing slightly. "Hey, I'm just trying to be friendly," he protested. I grinned, playfully rolling my eyes. "Friendly? You're about as subtle as a sledgehammer, Alex." As we walked, we started joking about our previous lecture. "I know, right?" Alex said, laughing. "I felt like I was trapped in some kind of legal nightmare. 'Thou shalt not breach contract, lest thou facest the wrath of the torts'." I giggled, shaking my head. "And don't even get me started on the professor's obsession with jurisdiction. I mean, who knew that the word 'jurisdiction' could be used so many times in one hour?" Alex grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I know, right? I was starting to think that 'jurisdiction' was the answer to every question." As we approached our next class, I turned to Alex and said, "Well, I guess I'll see you around, Alex." Alex smiled, his face inches from mine. "I'm counting on it, Syd." I walked to an empty seat and well...as expected...our boy sat right behind me... "Really?" I said, almost in a laugh "Well...What can I say Syd, boys got to do what a boys got to do.... I couldn't wait for next time I guess" "I'd like to see you try" I said turning my attention to the professor that just walked in.
