Tom Anderson and the fantasy world

Tom helps the Parkuns fight against the Gotians.

In the royal chambers, Prince Levis, the son of the emperor, was lost in thought. The Parkuns were going to attack the Gotians real soon, he was also worried about the love of his life, who was emotionally unstable at the moment.

Now the Parkuns were strong and skillful but had very few weapons. The Gotians had more weapons in their armoury and even mythical powers, they were likely going to defeat the Parkuns. Worried about this, Prince Levis decided to speak with father on the issue. He hurried to the royal court where the emperor and members of the royal court convened. Since Tom found favour in the sight of the emperor and was considered wise, he was assigned a member of the royal court and joined them whenever there was a meeting.

Prince Levis bows down to greet them, "Your majesty, long live the emperor. Very soon, the Gotians will attack and we have very few weapons to defend ourselves".

"Well then, we'll have to make more swords and equip the soldiers" interrupted General Regan.

"Get to it immediately, we have limited time!" the emperor commanded.

Tom saw this as a great opportunity to help the Parkuns, he would create guns which would help them win the battle. He raised his left hand and the emperor nodded his head, giving him go ahead to speak.

"I think I can help", he said as he got up from his seat. Everyone stared at him, he continued "I can help the soldiers win this war by creating guns. In my world, guns kill faster than swords your majesty". Filled with much confidence in Tom, the emperor ordered General Regan and Prince Levis to provide all the materials needed for the creation of the guns.

"Yes, your majesty" They both replied. They bowed before the emperor and Tom joined them as they left the court.

They took him to the armory where the weapons were manufactured and stored. In there were swords, shields, spears, arrows, bows and daggers of different kinds.

"We are going to need steel, plenty of steel", he said to them as they walked through the armory.

In the Gotians empire, king Talis is raging. He believes the Parkuns are responsible for his missing daughter, the princess had fallen in love with the Emperor of Parkun's first son. He refused to give his consent, so she ran away out of depression and frustration and hid in a cave on the outskirts of Parkun.

The crown prince of Parkun, Levis knew about this and went everyday to see her, assuring her that everything will be fine but things were getting worse. Her father had declared war, the emperor and his wife had no idea what was going on, they were perplexed when they got the letter of war threat from the Gotians. They were going to attack them anytime soon if their child wasn't returned in the next three days. So, the emperor oblivious of where the Gotian princess was, had ordered that all Parkuns be prepared and watchful. Those that will go to battle had already been chosen, Tarah's brothers Min and Gwin being skillful had been chosen by their father.

In the palace chambers, Tom is at a table writing. He decided to write down all his experience these past days, in his diary. He missed his dog, he wondered where Stan would be. He just hoped the Professor had found him. Tom decided he would push his luck and talk to the emperor about the priceless treasure, but later concluded that he'll let the emperor confide in him and tell him himself. For now, he'll pretend he knew nothing. He needed to focus on helping them produce enough guns and grenades.

That same night, the empress consulted a sorceress known as great Takuntha, to tell her about the foreigner and what his mission was. The great Takuntha, an old woman with long grey hair and long sharp nails like claws stood in front a mirror and consulted unknown powers. She did some chantings and clapped her hands, this produced light black smoke. She conversed with the mirror in a strange language and nodded her head at intervals, to show that she understood the message.

Finally she turned to the empress, "Tom Anderson is a strange fellow indeed, he's from another world" she paused for a while. "The priceless treasure of the Emperor should be given to him, he has need of it and would put it to better use. By his wisdom, peace shall be restored between Goth and Parkun empire".

"What shall he do with the treasure great Takuntha?" asked the empress.

"He is gifted, a special breed and must be protected" she let out a deep sigh, "by tomorrow, we shall know what he'll do with the treasure". The empress was glad Tom could be trusted and had no evil intentions against the Parkuns. She would tell her husband all the sorceress has said, she thought. As she got to the royal chambers where the emperor laid, she saw him sitting at a table. "what took you so long to come over my Queen, I am sorry your majesty. I consulted Takuntha concerning Tom Anderson". Then she told him all the sorceress had said.

The next morning, the Emperor called Tom and showed him the priceless treasure. He asked Tom if he knew it's use, to Tom's greatest surprise, it was a power bank. He stood in open-souled amazement, how could a 16,000 mAh power bank be here, who could have created it? he pondered.

On getting himself, he took excuse from the emperor and ran to his chambers with the speed of lightning to get his phone. He could finally charge, "hurray!!" he exclaimed as he found his phone, he also picked up a USB charging cord. "Now the treasure that made two great empires fight was a power bank?!!" he thought.

He ran back to meet the emperor and told him the treasure was called power bank in his world and could be used to charge phones. He brought out his phone and showed him, the emperor sent for his wife and Tom explained to them how to charge a phone using the power bank. He took out the charging cord connected it to his phone and power bank. His phone started charging and they marveled, they were glad he could put the treasure to good use. Tom showed them pictures of his home and family.

On the outskirts of Parkun, princess Lina took her horse out to graze, she called the horse Ryda. Ryda was a swift and noble horse covered in spotless white fur, she was healthy and strong. What was more fascinating is, she could talk. The princess had ridden her for the past 12 years, when Lina was angry or worried about something, she'd talk to her horse. As she squatted close to Ryda, she heard the sound of hooves. As she got up, the sound of hooves got closer and closer, so she tried to see who the rider of the horse was but couldn't. "No one must find out where I'm hiding", she thought. She dragged Ryda back inside the cave, they stayed there quiet.

Prince Levis needed to see her before the battle and also wanted to let her know the latest developments. As he got to the mouth of the cave, he came down from his horse and entered the cave. "My love, where are you?" he called out. Excited to hear his voice, she came out from where she hid to meet him. "How have you been?" he asked.

"I've been fine and you dear?" she replied. "I've been fine too. Hey, Ryda hope you're doing great today". Prince Levis asked Ryda.

"Yes your highness, Princess Lina has been taking good care of me" replied Ryda.

"I see", he turned to face princess Lina. "Come with me, I don't want you here

all by yourself".

"She has me" Ryda cut in.

Still facing Lina, "I know, but..."

"Go, they need you at the war front. My father found out I was in love with you and warned me never to see you again" she sobs. "He thinks he's fighting for me but he's not. Don't worry I'll be fine". Levis placed her head on his chest and patted her hair, then spoke, "a foreigner entered our land mysteriously and is helping us to create weapons that exists in his world. Guns and grenades, that'll help us win this battle".

"A foreigner?" she asked surprise. "That's wonderful, hurry along now my dear". Prince Levis blew her a kiss as he left the cave and rode on his horse back home.

All these while, Tarah had been helping her father and Tom with the production process. In the evenings, she taught Tom how to fight with sword. He had been so bad at it, that she laughed everytime they practiced.Tom also showed her and other soldiers how to use the guns, he always said "guns are better than swords" but she didn't want to believe that. The first batch of guns they made was about fifty, they still made more. The emperor had assigned soldiers to help Tom make the guns and provide him with all the materials he needed. Tom was really glad he could help them, they could win this war against the Gotians.

On the day of battle, the Parkun soldiers assembled on mount Talmor. Tarah and some other soldiers were assigned to protect the Parkun territory. The emperor put Tom, General Regan and Prince Levis in charge of the army. The army had about a thousand soldiers, the sky was blood red with vultures circling the sky.

On the other side of the mountain, were the Gotians. Elves, hippogriffs, fairies and all kinds of mythical creatures formed their army. Tom had never seen anything like this, it felt like he was dreaming.

Prince Levis cheered the spirit of the soldiers, "Arise, Parkuns. Arise and fight, our enemies are before us".

The commander of the Gotian army also charged his soldiers to attack. The fairies and elves fought with magic and spells, while the Parkuns fired them with their guns. The fight was b****y but the Parkuns were having the upper hand, thanks to Tom's invention. The Gotians couldn't understand what hit them, but in a flash, a hippogriff picked from his horse and flew away. Seeing this, General Regan commanded some Prince Levis and some soldiers to go after them. "Nothing must happen to Tom, go now, go!!" he yelled.
