My Cowboy Alpha Mate

Chapter One

Isabella POV

I’d been living in Liberty pack for 13 years now. I was almost 18 and would soon be able to find my mate.

After me and Aiden had arrived here at Liberty pack Alpha Clarkson decided to adopt me and Aiden.

Since his mate was dead he had no children of his own and needed an heir, so he adopted Aiden and changed his title from future beta to future Alpha.

Alpha Clarkson adopted me because he always wanted a daughter and since my dad was his best friend him and I where practically family already.

I rolled out of my bed and pulled all the sheets and my comforter up and nicely setting all my pillows.

Alpha Clarkson said I didn’t have to make my bed because the staff could do it, but I licked starting my day with a small accomplishment. Even if it’s only making my bed.

I than walked to my closet pulling out my cloths to wear today. I picked a pair of blue jeans and a red and blue checkered flannel button down shirt.

I had to wear flannel in the winters as New York was much colder than it was in Florida.

After I was dressed I put on my shoes and left my room.

Aiden walked out of his room at the same time I walked out of mine.

“Good Morning, Izzy”

“Good Morning, what this lazy pig doing up so early?” I asked lightly punching his arm.

“Ow. That hurt” he fake pouted and rubbed is arm.

I laughed at his expression

“Laughing and hitting me? Your dead, Iz” he said.

I went running down the stairs all the way to the first floor. I ran into the dinning room with Aiden close behind me. I quickly sat next to Clarkson before Aiden could catch me.

“You two are very energetic this morning” Clarkson said looking up above his newspaper and sipping his coffee.

“She hit me” Aiden said and pouted as if he where hurt

“What?!? You chased me through the house!” I yelled back defending myself.

“Sometimes I wonder which of you is older”. Clarkson chuckled

We all laughed at the statement.

Than the door to the dinning room as all the families in the pack house started to come in for breakfast.

Geneva, the beta’s daughter rubbed her eyes

“Tired?” I asked

“Well to people where really loud running the halls this morning and disturbing my sleep” she said yawning.

“Sorry Eve” Aiden both said at the same time before we burst in laughter again.

Even, Geneva’s twin brother, walked in looking worse than Geneva. He even had his shirt on backwards.

“What happened to you Ev?” I asked trying to suppress my laugh.

He just glared at me an Aiden “I know it was the two of you this morning”

Aiden and I Aiden and I both laughed again.

“Are you 20 or 5?” Geneva asked her brother

“What are you talking about?” He asked now glaring at her too

“Your shirt is on backwards bro” Aiden said laughing

“You guys laugh to much” Joseph, the Gamma’s son, said

“Shut up Joe” we all said in unison.

“Rude” he said and rolled his eyes.

“Sit down killjoy” Geneva said pointing to the seat next to her.

“As my mate you’re supposed to be nice to me” Joseph said sitting down

“Since when is that a rule?” Geneva asked scrunching her nose up.

Joseph pinched her nose “don’t do that. Makes you look like a pig”

“You’re an Asshole” she said

“I know” he said and kissed her on the lips. Only a peck, but it was sweet.

Everyone found their seat than the food was served. Crêpes topped with the choice of blueberries or strawberries. Then there was a choice of coffee, tea, apple juice, or water.

I had blueberry crêpes with a cup of coffee. I always loved blueberries. Since my family grew blueberries back in Florida.

I still missed my family.

I must have zoned out because next thing I know someone stuffed a bite of food in my mouth

“You have to try the strawberry. They’re really good this morning” Aiden said

I chewed the food in my mouth and was back to myself.

Aiden had a knowing smile on his face. He knew how much I missed my family because he missed his just as much.

“Mmm. Those are good” I said.

“I know right” I looked at the fork he was holding. I needed my fork to eat.

Than I saw a fork still beside my plate.

“Did you put your fork in my mouth?”

“Maybe” he said and shrugged

“That’s gross” I said and made a fake disgusted face.

I actually didn’t mind that much. I hated germs and would never let someone else’s fork near my mouth, but Aiden was my best friend and was my family.

I took my fork and took a big bite of my blueberry crêpe. It’s was so good. I hummed in delight

Aiden chuckled and slightly shook his head.

“What?” I asked swallowing my food

“Nothing. Just didn’t realize the food was that pleasurable” he said with a smirk

I slapped him on that arm

“Ew. You’re so dirty” I said with a laugh

“Only for You, Iz” he said widening his smirk into a smile.

“Shut up” I hit his arm again.

“Ow. Your going to give me a bruise” he rubbed his arm with a dramatic frown on his face.

Alpha Clarkson stood up and the whole dining room fell silent and looked at him.

“I’ll be excusing myself now. Let’s make it a good day everyone.” He than turned to Aiden, Evan, Geneva, Joesph, and me. “I need the five of you to come to my office after you finish your food”

Evan, Geneva, and Joseph all nodded their heads in reply “yes Alpha”

Me and Aiden than replied “yes Father”

“I Hope we’re not in trouble” Geneva said in a worried tone.

“If we are it all you guys fault. I wasn’t apart of the shenanigans” Joesph said in an annoyed tone.

“For mates you go sure fight a lot” I said. I had thought that mates always get along. That’s what my mother said when I was younger. That they where a perfect match.

“We’re mates, but we still have our attitude and can fight. Being mate’s does not mean you don’t fight” Geneva said.

“You’ll learn once you turn 18 and find your mate” Evan finished

I nodded. I was excited to mean my mate. I’d been looking forward to it since I got my wolf. I had gotten mine when I was 10. I didn’t tell anyone other than Aiden and Clarkson. I was the only known wolf to get my wolf so young so we thought it beat to keep it a secret.

I had my party to celebrate getting my wolf at 13 so nothing was suspicious.

We finished our breakfast and carried our plates to the kitchen. We placed them in the sink and thanked Carol, the pack chef, for breakfast.

We headed upstairs to the fourth floor and knocked on the alpha’s office door.

“Come in” came from inside. Wa all slowly shuffling through the door and stood side by side i from of the desk.

“Now that you guys are here” he leaned back in his seat “let’s talk. I’m going to a meeting in 2 days with another pack and since I plan on stepping down soon and you 4 will be in charge of the pack I want you all to come with me” he said looking at everyone but me.

“Yes alpha. We’d be happy to come and learn” Evan said.

“That’s all. You may leave.” He waved his and in dismissal.

“Aiden and Isabella. Please stay. I have something more to discuss with you both.”

“What is it, father?” I asked

“This pack we’re going to meant is way south in Texas. I was thinking that you could come Isabella and enjoy the southern air you haven’t seen is so long. That’s if you would like to come?”

I was so happy. I did miss the south. I ran over and gave Clarkson a big hug

“Thank you, father. I’d love to come”

He wrapped his large arms around me in a big warm hug

“you have things to do now though” Clarkson pulled out of the hug.

“I do?”

“Unless we’re skipping your birthday tomorrow than yes you have a party to plan”

“Oh yeah. My party” I paused “I don’t want to plan it. Make it a surprise. Have Mackenzie plan it. She’d love that”

“Ok. I’ll ask Mackenzie”

“Thanks father” I gave him another hug before walking towards Aiden.

He asked Aiden to stay back. He had something private to speak to him about. So I gave him a light slap on the shoulder than walked out.
