Rosalie retreated to a drawing room on the second floor. There was not much for her to partake in though she would not think that she was bored. There was little exciting entertainment and the tranquility of the countryside was entertainment in its own right. She enjoyed being able to sit down and disappear into her thoughts without much to worry about.
At lunch, a maid brought in a meal and she sat in silence, thinking about how she would go about for the rest of the day. Layla would arrive soon and Rosalie wanted to avoid moving about to much; to avoid running into Dante. The brief encounter in the library was unexpected and though she wanted to stay in there and read something, learn from the many books in waiting, she also wanted to leave the room because her head had started to race.
