My body trembled as I glared back at the reflection in front of me.
I knew I was trying too hard. That I was pushing myself too much just to please Giselle, but it never worked. No matter how hard I tried to be patient with her, she was just too much for me. My wolf and I knew and felt she holding back something from me when all I wanted was to break that huge barrier she put between the two of us.
All I wanted was to make up for everything I did to her, but unfortunately, she never let me.
She never allowed me to get into her heart.
But what hurt the most was that she didn’t trust me enough to marry her. Giselle’s hatred was greater than the bond we had, and I wondered why the Moon Goddess had to cross our fates if it were this complicated.
