Some rustling from the bed was what broke him out of his train to thought. Camila had woken up meaning it was already eight thirty, 'Where did all the time go?' he thought to himself, totally ignoring the fact that he had literally seen the sun rise before his eyes. His wife was not a morning person, something he really liked since it meant he could finally be free and himself while she was still asleep. Adam and Camila have been married for about a year and a little over six months. Their marriage had been arranged mainly for both their families' sake but partially also because of Camila's obsession with him. She loved him the moment she first laid eyes upon him at her debutante. Yes, her family is so ancient, they still do things like that even in the 21st century. Adam had actually gone to the party as a plus one for his friend, Victoria. A few weeks after the party Camila transferred to Adam's school, that's how obsessed with him she was. At first she would just watch him from afar, that would be enough to her happy but it only lasted for about a month. The thing is Adam was pretty popular at school. He was about six-foot-one with an athletic build, a bit pale skin, black curly hair that always looked good no matter what time of the day it was, and face sculptured by the gods. He had brown almond eyes, a straight button nose, heart shaped lips with a heart shaped face as well. In short he was the total package with good academics and being on the tennis and martial arts team. Once she realized just how popular Adam was, Camila unknowingly joined his secret admirer club. Even though it wasn't an official club or anything, the name suits it given the number of admirers Adam had. She stalked him for a while to know all his preferences and dislikes. There after she would buy him things like snacks, lunch and even limited edition merchandise from his favorite band and would leave them in his locker. There was a special locker for those kind of stuff, so don't worry no one broke into his locker or anything even though they would if the special locker didn't exist. Adam's popularity was similar to that of an internet celebrity, stretching out to schools in other surbubs as well. So no matter how hard she tried, Camila's efforts never really paid off. Adam never read the letters he got or the tags on his gifts, he would instead just share whatever he got with his friends. You would think that the girls would be discouraged and dislike him for giving away what they got for him but no, if anything they would swear that it was instead winning him more brownie points. That actually pissed Camila off for the first couple of weeks, like how could he just give away something that she had prepared with all her heart and not even acknowledge her. Eventually she also found it charming at some point but given her nature, she wanted Adam to recognize her and not treat her like the other girls.
