The next few weeks, the ones approaching prom were nothing short of living hell for Adam. James had some how managed to find out about Camila and knew fully well that his brother was not interested in her even in the slightest. Like his face would reveal the discomfort he felt just by hearing her name. That plus the fact that Adam usually told him whenever he had a girlfriend or was a bit interested in someone. Not to mention that Camila looked nothing like Adam's ex-girlfriends. Even from his point of view, Camila was a busy body. That's a conclusion he came to the very same day they met.
After telling Adam that she was his date Camila was so over the moon, she went over to his house that weekend to plan their outfits and other things (just an excuse to go to his house). She managed to draw attention to herself the moment she walked into their house. Since Adam seemed not to even realise her presence (dude just left her there to go play games with his friends), James had no choice but to entertain her. Even though entertaining people was his thing, he hated the thought of entertaining Camila. She had the same eyes of all those other girls who would obsess over his brother. Well he wasn't wrong and didn't have to wait long to find that out either as she showed her true colors pretty quickly. She was up on her feet demanding the way to Adam's room the moment she heard the front door close behind him. That was only the beginning as she went on to ask for his photo album, where his closet was and what body wash he used (the dude really smelled nice, even though Camila was being a creep about it). She wanted to know what mouth wash or toothpaste he used, where he brought his clothes, like literally everything about Adam, including his phone numbers.
The more questions she asked, the more James disliked her. There was absolutely no way on Earth that his brother liked someone like her. Heck, she didn't even have his numbers for Pete's sake. She reminded him of stalker fans, like that's the kind of vibe he got from her. He knew that Adam had it bad with those kind of people, but he had no clue that it was that bad. Each step he took following her around his own house was bringing him closer and closer to losing it. Now he got why his brother had left the house shortly after she had arrived, the girl was like a freaking alarm on Monday morning, making him lose his peace. Except this alarm wasn't one that he wanted to snooze, he wanted to smash break it with a hammer instead.
James eventually reached his limit. He mustered his best fake people pleaser smile and asked Camila to complete whatever business she had at his house because he had some where to be and he was already running late. Thankfully though Camila took the hint and left (without Adam's numbers, or any new information for that matter) and the first thing James did as soon as she left was literally disinfect everything she had touched. He didn't want the house to be contaminated by such behavior. Yes, he knew how to disinfectant stuff. Even though the brothers were polar opposites, being tidy and cleaning up after nosy people was their thing.
