A Match Made

Chapter Three

Amelia woke to the soft rays of the morning sun, their warmth seeping through the curtains and gently kissing my face. As she blinked away the remnants of sleep, memories of last night's encounter flooded my mind. His kiss, so passionate and possessive, still lingered on her lips.

The kiss in the hotel room had been more than just a reaction to that jealousy.

She heard the shower running and took that opportunity to slip out of the room and head to her room to get ready.

We were preparing to start filming for another movie. No break and I thought about how this was going to have a toll on me later on.

As the cast and crew of the film were gathered on a breathtaking seashore set, the director made a surprising announcement.

“It is my pleasure to reveal an unexpected twist in our upcoming film."

"In a bold move, our lead man, Benjamin, has chosen to step into the role of the second male lead, allowing for an exciting change in dynamics." The crowd erupted into murmurs, and the cast members exchanged perplexed glances.

My heart skipped a beat as the realization set in. The cast members, who had once whispered accolades about her, now glanced at her in curiosity and hushed discussions.

Benjamin,who was originally the first male lead, now stood at the water's edge, dressed casually in a white shirt and sunglasses.

The cast and crew, who had grown accustomed to their initial positions, exchanged glances filled with intrigue. As the director's words echoed on the tranquil beach, the soft murmurs and surprised glances of the team.

Noel stood beside Benjamin discussing about something then looked over to where I stood and smiled and I returned the smile while Benjamin looked at the both of us. Noel called for me to come over to where Benjamin and him stood.

“ You knew about the role switch” I asked Noel. He nodded his head in response and said it was unexpected looking at Benjamin who eyes were fixed on the crew members who went about their business.

Mia who heard about the news walked over to Benjamin to start a conversation about what happened and talking about how it wasn’t discussed with her as she was the first female lead made her feel uncomfortable.Benjamin didn’t give her a response and started walking away and she followed him.

“You know he is a perfectionist,don’t mess up your lines. I know you’re good but just because careful” he said with a smile.

“ And also….. we can go on a date sometime. I’m interested in you”

Amelia cleared my throat and looked away for a moment. This guy was the reason why Benjamin acted a certain way yesterday and now asking me out on a date. She wanted to tell him that she was married so bad so all these would stop but she couldn’t.

“Sometime I guess, anyways I should change I’ll have five minutes left “ Amelia said glancing at her wrist watch then heading to the changing room. I wondered what made Benjamin change his mind. She knew he had a hand in it knowing that his company was the one in charge of the movie production he worked in. She couldn’t understand what went on.

Mia didn’t seem happy at all. She loved the fact that she would star with Benjamin and was looking forward to seeing their names on the newspapers and magazines. But now roles were switched and it made her angry. Everyone knew about how much Mia liked Benjamin. Which woman wouldn’t.
