Chapter Four

Filming for the movie went well these past weeks and Amelia looked forward to when it would end. Amelia put all her best in my role and Noel always gave her his word of affirmations each day. He made sure he would get her coffee or food to ease her stress which she always declined but he was persistent.Guess he is taking this interest in her seriously.

On the other side Benjamin and Amelia never spoke after the party night, no calls, no messages nothing and they lived in the same house like strangers.

Amelia sat on her chair in the changing room taking a look at her outfit for the next scene.

“You look good, don’t worry and you’re going to nail your part” Kat said while she placed her hands on Amelia’s shoulders.

Kat the supportive friend. She was one of the people who knew about Amelia marriage with Benjamin and she was positive that things would turn out yet. She loved acting, Amelia always wanted to ask Benjamin for a place or role for her but she always declined saying she wanted it as a hobby not a full time job and how she loved being my P.A rather.

“5,4,3,2,1 ACTION”

This scene was taking place in a pool and Amelia’s character who is a friend of Benjamin wanted to tell him what she felt about him feelings.

She had rehearsed this scene in her mind a thousand times, but as she approached Benjamin, my heart raced, and i felt my confidence waver. After that night they never spoke to each other and just seeing her made her heart beat faster just like that night.

He was acting his role, being engrossed in something, scribbling notes at a table by the pool. I tried to walk gracefully, but just as Amelia reached his side, disaster struck. The heel of her stiletto snapped, causing me to stumble forward, my world spinning out of control.That wasn’t part of the script.

Gasps were heard from the crew members

With a gasp, Amelia toppled over the edge of the pool, a terrified yelp escaping her lips. Water enveloped her in a cold embrace, and she flailed helplessly for a moment. That's when Benjamin, realizing what had happened, reacted swiftly. In one fluid motion, he dived into the pool, reaching me just in time to grab her arm and pull her to safety.

She sputtered and coughed as she emerged from the water, her makeup running, and her hair disheveled. Benjamin's face was a mix of concern and frustration as he shouted, "Are you all right? What were you thinking? You could have been hurt!"

Benjamin's anger seemed to give way to worry. "Are you sure you're okay? You scared the life out of me."

Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, tried to catch her breath. "I'm fine,It was an accident, my heel... it broke." Amelia glanced down at her ruined shoe, her voice trembling.All she thought at that moment was why he rushed in to help her.

Also she began to think if what he is saying is part of the scripts he wants to play.

She nodded, water dripping from my clothes. "I'm fine, really. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to disrupt your work."

He sighed, running a hand through his wet hair. "Never mind.Let’s get you out of those wet clothes. Are you sure you're not hurt anywhere?"

She couldn't help but smile through her embarrassment as he fussed over her. This wasn't exactly how she'd planned to get his attention, but at least he was looking at her now.

“CUT” Noel shouted with a big smile on his face. “ This is perfect, wasn’t part of the script but it’s good. Don’t take it out”

Amelia looked over at where he stood with a frown on her face.

“ A scene? I nearly drowned and it’s a perfect scene for you “ she muttered in silence as Kat ran to where I sat with a towel and a blanket.She wrapped the blanket around me as she lead me to the dressing room.

“ I wonder what happened? Why did my heels break so suddenly”

“ I don’t know, rountine checks is usually done on everything the actors and actresses are wearing or drinking to avoid mishaps”

She sighed and and started using the towel on her hair wondering what Benjamin would be doing now.

“ Don’t you think you should ask Benjamin about it” Kat whispered. Amelia laughed and turned to face her while sitting on the chair.

“ Tell him, seriously? Someone who stuck to his role in the movie and didn’t look concerned and the moment CUT was yelled, he left”

“ Why would he jump in then”

“ He is known for extra twists in movies. It doesn’t really matter. Didn’t you hear what Noel said, a perfect scene so it’s a scene to everyone it’s not real”
