The next afternoon at two o'clock, I walked into the café—more like a restaurant—just as my parents had arranged. Inside, I scanned the shop and let out a sigh of relief when I saw that my blind date hadn't arrived yet. After finding a seat and ordering coffee, I waited another fifteen minutes until he finally showed up. As he entered, I could tell at a glance that he was shorter than me.
