Ember (POV)
I was heading over to the feeding center with Victor. The rest of my mates and Sam came with us. At first, it was weird to feed in front of them, but they all seemed okay with my vampire side, which surprised me. I thought it would bother them.
We walked in, and I headed over to an empty chair while Victor got us a feeder. Stephan sat in the chair next to me while Xavier and Rex stood around me. Sam was off to the side talking to the guards.
I thought once my animals were unbinded I would not need guards any longer. I could shift now. But everyone was still insisting I have them. I thought it was stupid to have guards with me when not only could I shift but my mates or Sam were always with me now.
After I got kidnapped the last time, none of them wanted to leave my side.
