Stephan (POV)
We were standing out front of Jameson's pack house waiting for Serge to bring Xavier. I know Ember trusted the trolls, but it still made me nervous having this, many of them so close to her. I didn't know a lot about them, but everything I had heard was not good. I kept my arms tight around Ember.
Malakye stood close by Ember and me. I could see the anxiety on his face. He was worried too. If the trolls were not as bad as we believed, it would take some time to warm up to them.
Victor, Rex and Sam walked over to stand by Ember and me. They were on edge as well. Rex's eyes continued to scan the area. I noticed him inch closer to Ember with the slightest movement. Victor stood in front of her, ready to attack at any second. I really hope things calm down once Xavier is ho
