Victor (POV)
Ember was passed out between Stephan and Rex. I climbed into the bed and laid my head on Embers hip and wrapped my arm around her waist. Her body was hot next to mine. I laid there holding her for a few minutes. I wanted to lie there all night with her in my arms, but my mind had a different idea. I could not stop thinking of the bats.
I kissed Ember's bare thigh then slid off the bed, making sure not to move her.
Rex tilted his head to look at me.
"I'm going to go see if he needs help with border patrol." I said through the mink-link to both of them.
Rex nodded his head then snuggled back into Ember.
I looked down at Ember one more time before I left. She looked so beautiful sleeping. I leaned over Rex and whispered in Ember's ear.
