Ember (POV)
Stephen busted through the door letting out a sigh of relief when he saw me.
"Little bear!" he said, walking over to me and pulling me into his arms.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he looked me over.
"I'm fine." He continued to look at me, to make sure. When he was satisfied that I really was okay, he pulled me to his chest, wrapping his huge arms around me and kissing the top of my head.
Rex came through the door next.
"Dude, what the f**k? How the hell did you beat me here? I was running full speed." Rex said, bothered by the idea that a bear was faster than him.
"I guess you're slower than you thought." Stephan said, still holding me tight.
Rex laughed. "We will see how fast you are when Ember ain't in heat." Stephan just shrugged his shoulders.
