At the home of Adauka,

Adauka, son playing a flute, aduaka walk towards her 10 year old son who is playing a flute, she said James do you want to be like your late father who loved playing flute, James said oh mom, please don't cry sorry I made you remember the past, Adauka no my dear, please okay son what the occasion, well mom you know today is her birthday sis grace, oh okay so when you are done kindly help with some food, and please come back early to run some errands for me, alright, James secretly pass through the house of old solider, to the backyard to see grace, he gave her the food and told her that he will come back, that he wants to run some errands for mama, she said okay, she started eating, until her step sisters came and took the meal from her and gave grace and plate full of sand and pepper water, when James return he meet her step mom and sisters beating her, he try to stop them but they hold him down and beat up, James manage to escape, he ran off home, Adauka , on seeing her son crying, she asked him, and when she heard that it is old solider and her daughter , she ran off to go and fight living her son with her brother who just came in from the city.
