My eyes fluttered open, and the first thing I noticed was it was still dark outside. I glared at the clock next to my bed.
6:02 a.m.
“Damn it.” I sighed, then rolled over on my side, hugging a pillow. For the last few days I’d been having irritating dreams. Running late for work, reporting for duty, you name it, I was a tardy mess, constantly scrambling to get where I needed to go, and never getting there on time.
