Helen and Allan are in a restaurant on Bloor Street. Katherine is with Allan’s mother in her apartment on St. Clair. Now that they don’t have a babysitter Allan and Helen have been using Allan’s mother. She complains about it, she doesn’t like looking after babies, but Allan begs like a child, says that his marriage needs together-time and his mother says, “Go on. Get out of here. We’ll be fine.” This is the second time Helen and Allan have been out for dinner in a week. Allan needs this because every time he looks at his daughter he sees Lindsay the babysitter and he feels off-balance.
At work he’s been filming another living will video, a young woman who is dying of cancer and wants to leave something for her six-year-old son to watch when he’s grown.
