Allan is listening to the Ramones’ “I Wanna Be Sedated” on the car radio as he drives quickly down the street. He is singing along out loud when suddenly he sees the sad man with the dog walking directly ahead of him, crossing the street.
And then he remembers.
Allan remembers the man with the dog coming out from behind the house across the street when Allan came out covered in compost. The newspapers now say that the police think it was the wife who killed the man, but Allan can’t believe that. He was there, after all, around the same time.
