The Prince Charming

Chapter 1

Just closed my eyes and couldn't sleep because of the confusion.

Mind says to select Matt as he's rich and famous and have lifetime security in terms of money and get settled...

But my heart says that you know everything about Matthew and select him. I don't know how people make such decisions...

I can't do this is too much pressure. These thoughts were floating in mind and couldn't think of anything else... 

"Ann wake up... You're getting late to office" Joana's shouting at me and I told her that "I called in for sick already and let me sleep..."

"Alright then. I'm leaving now and if your want anything help yourself and don't call me" she said that old dialogue of hers and left...

After a few minutes I heard a knock on the door. "who's it?"

"It's Matthew! Open the door. " I just got back to reality and woke up really fast, cleaned a bit and opened the door. He is at the door with a soup and fruits..

"Come in"

He came in and I asked him what's he doing here.

" I heard you're sick and hence came here to take care of you."

It's been a month since he proposed me to become his girlfriend and I couldn't answer. I really don't know what to answer. As I was just concentrating on my studies and career I couldn't think of having a relationship and no one ever proposed me...

Now I have this incredible man who's in front of me who takes care of me and loves me and don't know what to do... I was just thinking of the same and was starting at him..

"Hey Ann... What happened?"

"Nothing I was just" and he stops me and says

"Are thinking about my proposal?"

Oh my God.. How does he do that... All most all the time he knows what I am thinking and he'll have answer to everything..

"Yes, I was and I really don't know what to say"

Looking at me in the eye he said "Please do not worry, it's ok if you don't feel the same way as I do" adding to it he said "No matter what, I'll be there with you as your friend always." He gives the things he baught and gives me a smile then hugs..

After a few seconds of hug and eye contact my phone started ringing which made me come back to reality... Without checking the name I answered...

"Hello"

"Ann, it's me Matt!"

I told Matthew to sit and took my phone aside

"I heard you're sick.. How are you...?"

"I'm alright"

"Can we meet up for a coffee?"

"Sure, text me the time and place."

I went back and sat beside Matthew

He took my hand in his and "look sweety, you really don't have to take any decision right now."

I was just looking at him in the eye and said "look we're friends since we've known each other and I really don't want to lose you... If I agree and if something goes wrong..." He puts his pointing finger on my lips and said "what makes you think that we're gonna mess up... It's you and I would never anything to hurt you." his touch on my lips was so gentle and awesome and I lost myself looking him in the eye.. After a few seconds I stated to move towards him to kiss... I heard a ting sound which threw me back to reality...

What am I doing... Am I into Mathew or was it just a moment... I turned and saw a message from Matt

"Evening 5 at coffee shop near your apartment."

I sent reply "OK"..

To loosen the tension... I asked Matthew

"Hey, you want some coffee"?

He took me in the arm and said "I brought soup for you, sit here while I get a spoon for you.."

I was having soup in silent and may be he's waiting for me to talk..

After a few minutes just to break silence, I started concession about some office gossip and it really made the silence vanish and we were talking and after an hour, Mathew said " Ann, I'm going to office and if you need me, please call".

I really wanted to talk about Matt with him and he stopped when I said "Mathew, please wait... I want to tell you something..."

"Tell me"

"My mom told me to meet this guy and she wants me to get married.." as I was not sure about you, I didn't tell her about this "

It really made his eyes go pale.. He just gave me a hug and left without telling a word...
