The princess is someone who has memories of her past life, the original plot, where the original Rebeca would live a happy life with the prince.
The princess seems to have doubted as sooon as she heard about her from her step sister. The step sister planned to use the princess against Rebeca, which the princess knew very well.
The princess played along and acted as a bad character as she wanted to see Rebeca’s bottom line and to know who she actually is.
