Ellen woke up earlier than she would; she was barely sleeping well and her mind kept drifting to the fact that Varian was just a roll away. If she turned her body, then she would be so close to him. She stood up and had her bath before he could wake up and went out to get breakfast for them. She did not know if it would be advisable for him to be seen out here, but she was going to keep him couped up in the room for as long as she could. By the time Varian had woken up, the room was empty. He stood up and looked over the window. He was giddy about the situation. Everything felt surreal to him.
