Sean POV
I stayed up a bit longer watching Jayd sleep. I loved the lil cute faces she made when she was having dreams. The best ones are when she smiles
I needed to get my s**t together.
This
was
it.
I needed to show the girl I love that I'm serious about all the things we use to talk about before graduating high school. I've let her down way too much. I can't let my son down too.
After our so called ‘talk’ we went into my room and just laid down in the bed. She fell asleep soon after. I rubbed circles on her stomach feeling my son kick up a storm.
I wonder if what she says about my mom is true. I never noticed any slick mouth or things my mom would do on purpose.
Could she really be tryna sabotage us?
There's a knock on the door bringing me out my thoughts.
"is it safe to come in?" Chris asked from the other side.
“yeah." Jayd stirs in her sleep but doesn't wake up.
“what's up" I asked.
“so I have what you been waiting on came in the mail. "
I got up immediately.
We both left the room.
While standing in our living room he went into his room he came back with the box. Her ring was here. I was gonna ask Jayd at the baby shower to marry me.
“so what's the plan? " Chris asked watching me inspect the ring.
“baby shower I'm gonna ask."
“You home that long ?” I nodded “damn... Your boss said yes to that?" I nodded again
“I just need details so I can plan this right" I hear jayd coughing and I already know she has to throw up.
Jayds pov
I woke coughing and feeling like complete s**t. Sean was by my side in seconds with a trash can rubbing my back.
“You ok?" I nodded as the urge passed.
"Bathroom?" Sean asked I nodded as he helped me up and I shuffle up the stairs. I was winded half way up the stairs
“s**t!" I complained slowing my pace
“You good?" I nodded pushing myself the rest of the way.
“I'mma get your some water" I nodded sitting on the edge of the tub trying to catch my breath. I literally drink the water in under 30 seconds.
“You good” I nodded
“I’m gonna pee and brush my teeth” he nodded and I did that.
While brushing my teeth I could see my clothes they were starting to stick like glue to me.
Damn I’m really gonna be a mom soon...
We go back down stairs and I sit on the bed thinking...
“What’s wrong?” He asked closing the door behind him.
“We didn’t finish a conversation.”
“What conversation?” He asked rolling his eyes
“The one about your mama.”
“Jayd What you want me to do?”
“Uhhhhh fix it! “ sarcasm in my voice
“How?” I sighed
“Why I always gotta figure s**t out?” I asked him. “ I can’t just walk up to her like she a random as female. This is your mom. I’m trying to stay peaceful and respectful.”
“So then do that.” He shrugs I lay back on the bed in frustration.
“See that’s what I be taking about.” I muttered annoyed “why can’t you just pull her to the side or even do it in front of dad?”
“Do what?”
“Check her! About the s**t she been saying?” I state the obvious “she can’t lie either cause I have heard some of the s**t says.”
(Flashback to a few weeks after finding out I’m pregnant )

Few mins later my phone rings I mute it and put it on speaker
“Tammy keep this between me and you.” I hear Kelly say
“My lips are sealed.”
“I honestly wished Jayd wasn’t pregnant it’s like she making his life hell on purpose.”
“Mama you forget Sean is the one that cheated and gave her the std.” Tammy says coming to my defense “she’s put up with so more of his s**t since we graduated.”
“I know but it just don’t feel right.” Kelly says
“b***h I ain’t trying trap him!” I yell at my phone
“It’s like she trapped him.”
“Can I be honest for a second?” I hear Tammy ask. The phone shuffles a bit but clears up
“Go ahead.”
“I honestly feel like Sean trapped Jayd. Let me finish mama” I roll my eyes “I say that because when Jayd left the last time she was the happiest and care free.”
“So why she go back to him?”
“Love makes you do crazy stupid things right?” Tammy asked
“Yeah but I don’t get these two.”
“Nobody does but them. You have to let them boys grow up mama.” Tammy sighed. “I hate to say it but you butt in to much.”
“I’m just protective.”
“No ma, you overbearing. When we have relationship issues turn the boys away don’t feed into it.” Tammy suggest
“They still my babies I can’t help it.”
“b***h you better.” I mutter I heard the door close and Tammy fly down the steps
“b***h unmute your phone!”
I hit the mute button
“b***h!”
“I know you f*****g lying!” I yell into the phone “I could have left your son long ago! He trapped me b***h!”
“Girl I’m not even finna play with her. Soon as the conversation started I knew it was some shit.” I sighed and roll my eyes.
Present day
few days later
I had been staying with Sean the last few days but being alone with his mom was hella awkward. She would try to make small talk and ask for my help with crafting but really I know what’s up.
If Sean wasn’t going check her I was gonna have to find a respectable and peaceful way to do so.
While I sit doing a no sew blanket I guess my facial expression said it all
“Jayd what’s wrong?” Mama Kelly asked.
“Nothing ma just thinking.” I sighed.
“You can talk to me.” She suggest
“No it’s ok I’m probably just over thinking it’s about graduation.” I lie through my teeth. She nods and we keep working on the no sew blanket....
Few hours later
“I’m gonna head down.” I say easing my way down the steps.
“Get some rest.” I nodded and go down the living room stretching out on the recliner couch.
“It’s ok baby. Mom is just a little stressed cause your dad is being a big baby.” I say rubbing my stomach falling asleep
I woke to a blanket over me and Sean rubbing my feet.
“Hey beautiful.” He says as I open my eyes
“Hey.” I reply sleepily I check the time to see its getting late and I should get up. But this was the most sleep I had in weeks.
“Get some rest you need it.” He gets up and heads up stairs.
