CHAPTER THIRTEEN

ARIA POV:

I was about to answer his question about me to marry him when I heard my mother’s voice. My mother said “well,doesn't this look nice? And I heard the question, "I guess congratulations are in order.”

I said “Star, just leave or I will make you leave. I am having a family dinner with people who are actually family to my little sister and I.”

Star said “Oh, doesn’t that hurt my feelings that you dont consider me your family anymore or how about Jack. You know he will be really mad about that, Oh Tonya why don’t you come over here and give your real mother a hug.”

Tonya said “no, I don’t want to.”

Taylor said “that is messed up, you allow your little sister to not go give your mother a hug.”

I said “Taylor, why don’t you keep your mouth shut or you can leave and mother you know damn well we have a restraining order on you right. Mr Dodger, can you call your station to come put up my mother since she can’t seem to understand what a restraining order is.” Toby’s father nodded his head and called his station. Star said “oh, don’t get you panties in a twist. I am leaving. But now Jack is really mad at you for pointing a gun at him.”

I said “oh don’t worry about that because you are getting arrested I have witnesses here stating you broke the restraining order. Also I don’t care what Jack is because he is nothing but a piece of s**t just like you.” While we were talking, a police officer came into the restaurant.

The Officer asked “we got a call about a TRO being breach. What is going on here?”

I replied “yes, Officer my “mother” over here is in direct violation of my restraining order. I would like her to be booked please.”

Star said “Officer, I was just about to leave. I wanted to just basically give my youngest daughter a hug. But that didn’t happen. So I think I am going to just go now.”

The Officer said “no, ma’am, you are coming down to the station with me because you directly violated your restraining order that both of your daughters have on you and your husband. So please put your hands behind your back.” Star did as she was told, but she started screaming “YOU LITTLE GIRL, BEST WATCH YOUR BACK BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS. WITH PUTTING JACK AND NOW ME IN JAIL BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID ACTIONS!!” The Officer was pulling her to the exit. Mr. Dodger said “well, today has been interesting to say the least. Anyway, Aria was your answer?”

I replied “my answer Toby is yes, I will marry you. We can discuss the detail later. Do you all just want to pay and go home?”

Toby said “yeah, I think that will be a great idea.” Toby flags down the waiter.

The waiter said “how can I help you sir?”

Toby said “can I get both checks one check is her. The girl that was late. And the rest on the other check please?” The waiter nodded his head yes and went to go get them. Taylor said “I thought you were going to pay for me Toby, since that has been what you were doing since I met you.”

Toby said “no, I am only paying for the people we invited here. Not you who pushed her way into a private celebration.” Then the waiter came back with both checks.Taylor looked at her bill and she spit out the water she was drinking. She pulled over to Elena close her ear. Elena blurted out “no I am not paying for your meal because you never paid me back last time.”

Taylor said out loud “well I only half of this, can you help me with half.”

I spoke up “Taylor don’t ask her again to pay for your meal again when she already told you no. That is rude. Maybe you should have understood that you're paying your own bill. Do you think life is going to be handed to you?”

Taylor said “well normally Toby pays for me. So I thought that he would have just paid like he always does.”

Toby said “well, you are not my responsibility. And I told you at school, we are not friends anymore because of what you tried to do with Aria. And I meant it. The only reason you're here with us right now is because Aria said sure. I would have told you to get lost. Dad, our bill is paid. Are you all ready to go?” I nodded my head yes. We all got up and Taylor was on her phone with someone. Taylor said “mommy, can you please come help me?” Taylor started crying a little bit while we were walking away. I felt bad. But she deserved it and she needs to understand things are never going to be given to her.” We got into the cars and went back to the house. Mr. Dodger and Mrs. Dodger said “well you kids don’t stay up too late.”

Toby said “we won't mom, we have school and Aria has work in the morning.” Mrs. Dodger gave Toby a kiss on the check and they both went upstairs. Elena and Jacob stayed a little bit more. I went to put Tonya upstairs for her to get ready for bed. I tucked her in and went back downstairs. Elena and Jacob were talking about tonight's events. I went to sit next to Toby. Toby said “I can’t believe she thought I was going to pay for her. Did I ever tell you what she did with Aria today?” Elena shook her head no. So Toby told them everything that happened. Elena got really angry. I jumped in and told her not to worry about it. I asked “hey, what would you all think about me coming back to school to finish my studies?”

Elena jumped up and said “yes, you have to do it.”

Jacob replied “Aria you can do it if you put your mind to it and plus you can rely on all of us to help, for support.”

Toby said “that means I can see you all day everyday. I will love it very much.”

I said “ I can go in to talk to the counselor to see if she can help me with my schedule because of Tonya. And everything that is going on.”

Toby said “I can go with you if you want.”

I replied yeah. I can ask you father tomorrow what he thinks I should do as well. Because of my work schedule and everything.”

Elena said “this would be great! I can’t wait for you to come back to school. I remember when you were in school. You were so quiet, I remember wanting to be your friend. But anyone who came near you jumped and hid away. So I thought you would never want to become friends with me. I didn’t know all that has been happening to you.”

I replied “what do you mean? You know what happened to me?” Elena looked like she just said something she shouldn’t have said and then looked at Toby. That is when it hit me, he told her what happened to me. I looked at Toby and then just got up. I said “Elena, and Jacob it was nice meeting you. I going to go to bed. Have a good night.” With that I walked to the back door, and left. While I was walking to the loft. Minding my own business, in my own thoughts. I keep thinking I thought I could trust him, I thought that I could actually have friends. Maybe Jack was right, no one really cares about me. I am just a joke to everyone. I lost my virginity to Toby. I am so stupid to trust anyone but me and only me. I should've known. That is when I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw Toby. I just turned around and started to walk again. Toby yelled again “Aria, please wait.” I stopped. Toby caught up to me. Toby tried to turn me but I refused to turn. Toby then moved to get in front of me. Toby put two fingers under my chin to move me head so I can look at him. Toby said “Aria, I only told her that you went through a lot and that you don’t trust people. And the fact that she heard you twice with your mother and Jack. She can figure something back has really happened.” I just walked around him and went into the loft. I went straight into the bathroom. I turned on the hot water. I got into the shower and went deep in thought. Time has passed, I got out of the shower, grabbed a towel and then realized I forgot to get clothes before I came in here. So I tightened the towel around my body and went out of the bathroom. When I came out, I saw Toby sitting on the bed. Toby was deep in thought. Toby was looking at his hands. He didn’t really know I came into the bedroom.I grabbed my clothes and went back into the bathroom. I really didn’t really like the way he was looking. So I decided to forgive him this one time. So once I was dressed, I went out of the bathroom. I sat next to him. I grabbed his hand in mine. Toby finally noticed I was there. Toby said “Aria, I should have asked you to say anything even if it was small about you to them. I am sorry. I am sorry I broke your trust in me.”

I replied “Toby, I am not happy with the fact that you told someone about my situation without talking to me about it first but I understand. Yes, to me it is awkward for someone to know something that is really important like that about me because you never know how they are going to use the information. They can use the information in a positive way or they can use the information to their advantage. But I am okay with Elena knowing what happened to me as long as she does not tell anyone else besides her boyfriend. That is fine with me. But I want to tell people the information since it is information about what happened to me.”

Toby said “I totally understand that. And I am sorry for not realizing that. But I can tell you that Elena just wants to be your friend. So does Jacob. I won't tell anyone else. I promise you that. I know when I say that it will be hard for you to believe me that I will keep it to myself and I will talk to Elena and Jacob to keep it to themselves as well.”

I replied “we will make mistakes, it is how to fix and learn from those mistakes will help you. I will do my best alright.” Toby hugged me. I hugged him back. After a few minutes, we stopped hugging. Toby got ready for bed. He put on pj bottoms. He left his shirt off because he hates sleeping in a shirt. He says it always makes him warm. Which I do not mind because I like looking at him and his very toned body. While he turned around to take off his watch, I was looking at him, well his ass. He turned around and caught me. All I could do was smile. He winked and got into the bed.I cuddled up to him. I put my head on his head. It took a few minutes but I was out like a light.
