Dear Anyone,
I was delighted to receive your letter, thrilled and excited, and even a little nervous as I opened the envelope. I read your letter with shaking hands too, and a heart that refused to stop jumping and doing all manner of crazy aerobics in my chest. I cannot explain this; perhaps it is the same as going on a blind date or meeting a new friend for coffee for the first time.
We are standing on the threshold of something new which is always exciting no matter how old you are or what your circumstances. However, meeting new people has always been an arduous task for me as I am a very shy person, a trait which I have battled against for many years.
