Jayde wanted to hurry and get to the woman before something happened, but if the people Lin talked about were a threat, she would need the help of the group. Loch and the others reached them and they took a moment to catch their breath and hydrate.
“We’re not going into the city,” Lin said. He pointed to the left, where a small dirt road disappeared among trees. “They’re outside of a barn down that way.”
Before Jayde could rush them onward, Lin started down the dirt road. He didn’t jog, but he kept his walk at a brisk pace. Jayde ended up having to run to catch up to him and the others quickly followed.
