Chapter 33A half hour later, the Nissan was headed to Honey Konani’s in Mililani. The trip was brightened by music from an Irish four-piece band, The Strypes, and lively conversation from Linda and Rey as they eagerly discussed the men currently in their lives. Makjo was a sure thing, but Colt wasn’t, and I didn’t have the heart to tell Rey otherwise. Although, to be fair, Cash hadn’t revealed much (what else was new) about Colt, other than to state that when Colt had sighted Rey at the Hilton, he’d found himself intrigued by her good looks and animated spirit. As for Cash, who Linda enthusiastically kept drawing into the exchange, I wasn’t going there.
