Chapter Seven

"What's so special about her body? When lot of ladies are crawling at my feet to have a taste of me." Charles lament to his friends. Charles narrate how he has been making advance towards Pamela and how she have been turning him down. Bob was the first to make remark concerning Charles complain. "I always tell you that not all lady are after money, alot of them have dignity. It's not all lady you can use money to buy over. We still have ladies with virtue even as it is". Charles shook his head in disagreement. "Maybe she want me to chasing her like some jobless men will always do. Don't you know who I am?". Bob and James chorus "I'm Robert Charles the number one tech machine in the whole of the united state if America". They both said and burst into laughter. Charles friends are use to him addressing himself that way, Charles become very angry with the way his friends have make mockery of him.

"Listen everyone I bet you that I will give in all it cost and I will make sure I get down with this lady and dump her also as usual". He said frowning and he was seriously shaking in anger.

Pamela met a flower on her desk when she resume at work with a little note. She is wondering who will have drop it very early. She pick up the flower and check the note, it was written on the note "Good morning dear". She look around maybe she will suspect someone but every other person seems busy. The thought of Martins cross through her mind and she discard it immediately.

"Did you like the flower?" Charles ask Pamela without looking at her. Pamela who was summon on by her boss to bring a file was now been interrogated concerning the flower she saw on her desk earlier. "Yes sir" she said with a shaky voice. She couldn't bring herself to ask if it was Charles who drop the flower on her desk.

"Will you like to have diner with me?" Charles asked.

"Yes.. No..." She said confuse.

"It fine, you can just let me know when it will be convenient for you, not a must today anytime you are free. It could be weekend". Charles said.

"Alright sir". She replied with a timid tone.

"Just let me know before the close of work today. You can take your leave."

Pamela walk away without saying a word. She got to her office with a lot of questions running through her mind. She can't just explain her reaction whether happy or sad. She took the flower from where she kept it and perceive it with a smile on her face.

Charles pick Pamela up in her aunt house on a date. He took her to one of the best restaurants in town. They both have a long chat, share childhood experience, school experience and relationship experience. Pamela have began to have feelings for Charles. Charles on the other hand is focus on how he will achieve his aim. On serval occasion Charles showers Pamela with different gift of clothes, bags, shoes, jewelries. As the relationship grew from day to week, week to months, Pamela love for Charles grew fast.

Charles is everything Pamela want in a man. She love hardworking and ambitious man which he found in Charles. One of the days Charles took Pamela out for shopping, Martins call her and he almost ruin her day but she cover up quickly. Pamela haven't discuss her relationship with either her aunt or her father, she still want to give it test of time but the fact is that she is in love already.

"I told you they are all same with the little cash I spend on her, she's now all over me." Charles boast to his friends. "I am just giving it time, I'm looking for the right moment to strike. I want to watch her crawling and wailing at my foot for mercy."

"I don't think you are doing the right thing Charles " Francis said. "why will you want to derive so much joy in her pain? Not every lady will throw herself cheaply to a man. Those that do you can have them and those that refuse let them be".

"She's a low class girl full of pride, even those from a reputable home still want to have me. By the time I'm done with her I want to see her mouth full of tears. Why will she reject me".

"She does not reject you, she don't want to be abuse by you ".

"Excuse me Jacob, what did you mean by abuse". Charles rise angrily.

"Calm down man, I don't mean it that way." Jacob stood up to calm Charles down. Francis was just staring at them both. Bob change the topic of discussion into business which he knew will interest Charles and also calm his nerves. The tense atmosphere become calm.

Pamela decide tell her aunt about her relationship with Charles. Ruth was so excited about the news. "You are now the queen of the united state, don't you know the person you are with now. Let me remind you if you have forgotten. Robert Charles is one if the youngest billionaire in this country. Moreover, he's the one to with the master key of technology which can unlock any door as far as united state is concern". Pamela smile sheepily.

"Hold me tightly Pamela, you must not let go off him" Ruth said as she stood up to get some fruits in the fridge.
