Chapter 28 – Holst Park
Dale spent the next couple of hours roaming around and striking up conversations with random strangers. It wasn't easy due to his off-putting disguise, but he was determined to try. He needed their support. When some passerby or other stopped long enough to listen, Dale told him or her about the upcoming appearance in Holst Park.
Eventually, he ran out of steam and decided it was time to get to the park. He walked most of the way there. When the park was in sight, he ducked into a nearby store and bought some cheap clothes. He changed in the bathroom and then ditched his disguise in a dumpster in the alley. He was finally “himself” again, both for better and for worse. He left the alley and strode down the sidewalk.
