Mildred POV I spent the next day indoors as well, not going out or seeing anybody else and my food was brought in by maids. But unlike the other day, my baby's father didn't come to check on me. As I sat on my bed and poked my food with a lack of interest, I told myself that it was better that he didn't come to check up on me but that didn't change the fact that I missed him and quite badly as well in fact at one point it would have been preferable if he actually came because his absence made me to think about him so much that if imagination was enough to make someone appear he would have been instantly summoned in my room.
