CHAPTER 55 Rena The morning sunlight streams through the gauzy curtains of our bedroom at Del Rossi, casting everything in a gentle golden glow. I stretch lazily, my hand instinctively moving to the empty space beside me where Armani should be. The sheets are cool to the touch—he's been up for a while. I sit up slowly, mindful of my growing belly, and reach for the glass of water on my nightstand. As I take a sip, I catch sight of myself in the mirror across the room—hair tousled from sleep, cheeks flushed, eyes brighter than I've seen them in years.
