"You had me watched" she spat it out like it was something despicable.
"Don't look so surprised you knew that already" he said, his eyes resting on my eyes, lips and every part of my face, like he was mesmerized, enthralled by something.
"What?" I meant to sound scornful but my voice trembled my eyes avoiding his because I was afraid I would drown in those dark orbs that promised me heaven and sometimes took me through hell.
My hand held firmly in his felt warm and secure. My heart thundered in anticipation as well as dread. I didn't want to fall into his arms too fast, I wanted to know where this relationship was headed. I wanted to know who I was in his life.
