Ariana's Pov I guess the shock followed us all the way home because nobody spoke. Not Mum. Not Kian. Not me. By the time we got inside, everyone just went their separate ways. No goodnight. No nothing. And honestly? I wasn't complaining. I was more than ready to get out of that dress and crash. So that's exactly what I did. The second I got into my room, the dress came off, my makeup followed, and before I knew it, I was under my blankets. Nights felt way too short these days. One minute it was night. The next— Knock. Knock. Knock. I groaned into my pillow. "Who is it?" Can't anyone get enough sleep around here? If I was still a child, I probably would've cried. Instead, I dragged myself out of bed and stumbled toward the door. Standing outside was one of the staff.
