Chapter 17

Shakti was sitting on the dinner table, with Priyanka, Nanny, Omkara and Ragini as the maids serving dinner..

Omkara :... so there was one model , that I was trying a dress on her just before the fashion show and I had no idea on the language she is speaking and I had to communicate with her , you know uncle how nervous we all are before the fashion week ...

Shakti smiled and nodded ..

Omkara : and I am Singh Oberoi ,I couldn't do injustice to the family's name , especially that our designs are pretty known there and everyone expect from me the best , so as I was tightening the dress on her ,I was nervous and shaking so instead of putting the pin in the dress , I shoved it in her leg

Priyanka chuckled and covered her lips as Shakti shook his head in disbelief

Omkara : oh no it gets worse ..She screamed and kept crying and I was like please I beg you don't say anything , my family's name is in the stake , talking in English of course but another model told me "the girl don't speak English"

Ragini chuckled and said : that ignorant remind me of someone

Shakti smile vanished and said : behave yourself , Ragini

Ragini looked down and nodded as Omkara continued ..

Omkara: I panicked , I tried to talk with her in French , I know also some Italian but she didn't understand me and I thought that is it , I am fired ..I am one of the family of the leaders in fashion and I can’t even put a pin in a dress without causing my model to bleed , and I can’t apologize and to make the matter worse the head designer was coming towards me , I am ruined so ..I just cursed in Hindi ..

Shakti chuckled and said : oh don't say ..

Omkara happily : Yes , the girl was a beautiful Indian girl from Pune , she chuckled and said "it’s no big deal, Bhai" and I was saved ..So all along she spoke my language

Shakti : and if you got fired ? So what , leave London and come and work with us

Omkara : leave London ? I don't ..I don't think I can , plus I can’t work under Mr. Tej and Veer , I can’t ..Oh by the way , Piku said bhai was working for them in a small cloth factory near a village, is that true?

Shakti nodded sadly and said : I can’t believe it too till now , for five years my brother hide my son from me

Nanny : Mr. Singh Oberoi , he was defiantly worried for Shivaay , you were going to put him in prison

Shakti : where is Shivaay and Anika by the way ...did they fall asleep or what ?

( SHE IS NOT WAKING UP , SOME ONE CALL A DOCTOR ..ANIKAAAA)

Every one flinched and they ran to the elevator and rode it to the 3rd floor and the minute it opened they saw Shivaay sitting on the floor and Anika between his arms and tears flowing on his cheeks as he leaning on her chest to hear her heart beats , it was the first time everyone see Shivaay 's tears , even in the rape accusation and all what happened to him this day , he didn't shed one tear , he was too proud to let tears flow from his eyes but now he was crying and shivering as he holding his wife between his arms

Anika flinched and his body flinched with her but she didn't wake up and he screamed ..

Shivaay: SOME ONE CALL THE DOCTOR

Priyanka eyes widen as tears flow from her eyes , Anika didn't look as if she fainted ! She looked as if her soul is leaving her body , her flinch as if her muscles are relaxing , her face pale white and her lips is dry. It’s a nightmare

Omkara ran and pulled a bottle of perfume and sat on the floor and open it to put it under Anika’s nose as Shakti pulled a glass of water that was on the night stand and sprayed some on her face as Shivaay was just praying that what they are doing works but nothing did , Anika’s body just flinched again and she just returned like a lifeless body in his hand .

Shivaay: I tried everything , nothing is working ..She just flinch and return like that

Nanny eyes widen and looked at Ragini who swallowed and shook her head faintly ..

As Omkara was just confused and his mind was blocked from any thoughts because of what is happening

Omkara : Priyanka call the family’s doctor , I don't know the number

Priyanka nodded and got out her phone and went in the far side of the room so she can talk as tears was still flowing on her cheek

Omkara: bhai , what happened ?

Shivaay : I don't know , she was normal , we were talking and suddenly her eyes rolled back and she fell down..Then ..Then her body shivered as if she having a seizure , then she became like that ..

Ragini sat on the bed shocked and covered her lips , it's the same what happened to Shivaay , but how ? !!! How can it be ?

She looked at Nanny and nodded affirming her doubts , but the bottle was empty and even if it wasn’t and has some traces of the medicine , who gave it to her ? That is not making any sense !!

Shakti : maybe she has a history in some sickness and she didn't tell you , Shivaay

Shivaay shook his head and said : no , she never hides anything from me ..Something happened to her I don't ...

But he stopped talking seeing Anika’s eye's lids shivers then her eyes opened faintly

Shivaay smiled widely and said : SHE IS AWAKE ...thank god , thank god

Everyone ran towards her including Priyanka who ended the call before the doctor answers and Nanny and Ragini who were praying that they are mistaken and what happen next , don't happen !!!

Anika opened her eyes fully , feeling her head is heavy over her body , all her muscles is hurting her like if knifes cutting in them and her throat is dry like if someone scrap it with sandpaper and there is a great fear in her heart , she feels so scared , but she don't know from what or where it came from!!!

and the second Anika heard a voice , she heard it as if its monstrous and with all the fear she is feeling she screamed to the top of her lungs and crawled away from Shivaay's arms who she didn't recognize he is Shivaay, she wasn't recognizing where she is or who is the people around her or even who is she , she just stood and fall again , then tried to stand back and ran , she didn't know where she is going or what happening , or what vision means , it was just colors mixed together and monstrous voices and blurry shapes that scared her so much and she is just hitting the walls .

meanwhile Shivaay was shocked numb seeing what is happening to Anika , as everyone else was the same , the minute they try to speak or touch her she screams so everyone just stood still and silent , watching her as she shivering and screaming from everything she hit or touch even if it was a wall , till she sat in a corner with wide eyes and her tears kept flowing and her body shivers like a single leaf in a fierce wind

Priyanka approached near her and tried to touch her but she screamed and held on herself and sobbed in fear.

Priyanka in low tone : what is happening to her ?

Shakti : Anika ? My daughter ?

Anika didn't answer and continued shivering as Shivaay said nothing ..He just very slowly sat beside her and she saw him as a shape coming near her , not recognizing any face or emotions but the fear .

He just neared his hand from her and her tears flow more and whimpered in her fear till he touched her hand and caressed her fingers

Shivaay whispered: shush

She was still confused and scared but the touch was the first thing she recognize from all her surrounding , the first thing that didn't scare her and felt so soothing , she looked at him carefully and the first thing she saw was blue eyes filled with tears and love

And for everyone surprise she crawled fast and hide between his arms and he closed his eyes as tears flow on his cheeks and hugged her shivering body tight

to his chest

Shakti closed his eyes and said : there is nothing to watch here , everyone get out

Priyanka and Omkara went towards the elevator as Shakti joined them and they got down as Ragini and Nanny were still there , not hearing or listening from their fear as Shivaay wasn't caring for anyone but Anika.

Shivaay whispered: shush , everything is going to be okay

Anika looked at him with terrified eyes then she held on him more and deepen her nails in his skin as if he is the only reality in her life and she is holding on it with all her senses , she wasn't able to say a word but her fear was fading till ..

Nanny : Shivaay ...you go and I will stay with her

Anika’s body shivered hearing her voice and whimpered in fear as Shivaay for Nanny’s Surprise screamed ..

Shivaay: GET OUT ..EVERYONE GET OUT

Nanny: Shivaay?

Shivaay: GET OUT , LEAVE

Ragini ran to the elevator from the fear of his scream and pulled Nanny from her arm who was still shocked and as the elevator closed she heard him saying to Anika .

Shivaay: no one else will come , only you and me

Anika relaxed and looked at him then fall in his arms limp, he didn't understand what is happening to Anika but he found himself promising god that if he have a chance to have her back , he will love her better and he will appreciate every second with her and if she will always be like that , he will always take her in his arms and pray day and night to hear her voice and see her smile again

Anika fall asleep from tiredness as Shivaay went towards the elevator and opened a panel under the floor numbers and activated a password to the 3rd floor and the elevator closed as he entered back deciding not let anyone enter till Anika be okay .

After an hour ..

Shakti , Omkara and Priyanka were sitting on the dinner table and Priyanka crying her eyes out as Omkara patting on her back .

Priyanka : I don't understand , Is Bhabhi sick ?

Shakti shook his head and said: I don't know ..I was with her an hour ago or so , she seemed fine , what can happen so suddenly to make her like that ? Even seizures don't have post effects like that ..It was like she was hallucinating or under influence of a drug ..Here pupils were very dilated ..I don't know

Omkara eyes widen and shook his head in disbelief , could it be the bottle? , how come ? They waited for 20 minutes !!! Drugs don't take this long or maybe ..Oh god , Anika can be right , it can be a drug that was used on Shivaay

" For god sake , I just came few hours ago and the house already on fire " he thought

Priyanka wiped her tears and said : papa. It reminds me with bhai ,remember her eyes looked unfocused just like his eyes looked ..Maybe (then she shook her head) no.. never mind

Shakti at first took Priyanka's words as just casual words but then he felt doubt in his heart , something is wrong but the dots is just not connecting .

The three of them looked at each other and no one said a word but their eyes were filled with doubt and wonder.

Meanwhile ..

Ragini ran to her room and pulled her suitcase and started throwing cloth in it but Nanny entered her room , closed the door behind her and held her hand,

Nanny : did you put the drugs for her ?

Ragini pulled back her hand and said angrily ..

Ragini : the bottle was empty , I swear ..Plus I am not mad to expose myself (then she shook her head and said) we should call Veer , he will be able to do something

Nanny : Veer is in the hospital he did a plastic surgery and recovering , I just talked to him , you think I will wait?

Ragini sat shocked and said : then what I will do , where I can go that Shivaay won’t find me ?

Nanny shook her head and said : are you sure this is the drug effect?

Ragini : 100 percent , it’s like I am seeing Shivaay in front of my eyes. After he got unconscious and I did the bites and scratches and all , he was flinching in my hands like that and then he wake up shivering like her and screaming and breaking everything ...it’s the hallucination and the adrenaline that this drug put in the body .(then she shook her head and said) but this girl must took at least 2 or 3 drops , her condition is much worse ..Whoever did this to her must really hates her (then she looked at her and said) I thought it was you ,Nanny

Nanny: and how can I afford that medicine ? I don't even know from where to get it !!(Then she took a moment and said) you think she found the bottle and did this to herself?

Ragini looked at her with wide eyes and said ..

Ragini : and why would anyone do this to himself ?!! She is mad then !!!!

Nanny : or trying to prove something ?

Ragini: Nanny , if she has the bottle then you can find it ..Just go in Shivaay’s room , he must fall asleep by now and you know he is a heavy sleeper and she is in no condition to open her eyes ..Get the bottle and end this nightmare

Nanny nodded and said: I was just thinking the same , Ragini

And she got out of the room and went towards the elevator and pressed 3rd floor and when she reached the 3rd floor for her surprise appeared instead of the number of the floor the word " password ?"

She felt numb for second then tried some words but after three times the elevator just by itself got down to the ground floor where Shakti was standing

Shakti : Nanny? In or out ?

Nanny swallowed and just got out as Shakti entered and reached the 3rd floor but the door didn't open and the word " password? “appeared.

he smiled faintly and pressed the ring button under the level panel and the ringing screamed in Shivaay 's room , who was deeply sleep as tears dry on his face and hugging his wife but Anika eyes opened with the ringing and sat on the bed feeling very dizzy and her muscles aching but she managed getting of the bed and walking to the elevator as the ringing was really annoying ,she pressed the elevator button and it opened and she saw Shakti who was shocked seeing her .

Shakti :Anika ?

Anika rubbed her eyes and said: papa , what is going on?

Shakti: I ..Came to ask Shivaay if I should get the doctor

Anika eyes widen and said: why doctor ? Is Shivaay sick? Come in please

Then she ran towards Shivaay and felt a bit unsteady in her steps but she was so worried , she put her hand on his forehead and said ..

Anika : Shivaay ? Wake up

And she shook him hard and he opened his eyes then sat straight seeing her as she said ..

Anika: Shivaay ? Papa said he will bring to you a doctor, are you okay?

Shivaay held her face and smiled hopeful ..

Shivaay: you are really okay or am I dreaming ?

Anika chuckled and seeing her chuckle he pulled her to his arm and her smile vanished ..

Anika : Shivaay ? What is going on

Shivaay broke the hug and looked at his father who was in disbelief as well

Shakti : Anika ?dear ? What is the last thing you remember ?

Anika : Shivaay was wearing a red pajama

Shivaay chuckled faintly as she smiled to him but then their smile lessened noticing that this means she don't remember all of what happened

Shivaay: Anika ? What are you feeling now ?

Anika : I am confused and dizzy and my muscles really hurt and I feel headache

Shivaay : you don't remember anything happened after that ?

Shakti : do you get any seizures or ..

Anika shook her head and said : I don't get seizures and no I don't remember , why ?what happen ?

Shivaay looked at her for a moment then he nodded numbly as Shakti took a moment and looked at her and remembered their last meeting before that happened , she was holding the bottle and begging him for attention ,saying that Ragini was looking for something in the room

Shakti : Anika do you remember the bottle of medicine you found ? Can I see it ?

Anika nodded and pulled her bag and got out the bottle of medicine and she said ..

Anika : its open , that is strange , who opened it ? I don't remember opening it or did I ? God I am so confused ..I feel some scenes flying from my head

And she held her head as Shivaay looked at her , feeling what she says so familiar to him , it hurt even thinking about it .

They heard the ringing again and Shivaay was about to get off the bed .

Shakti : no , you stay with your wife

Shivaay nodded as Shakti opened the elevator door and both Omkara and Priyanka entered as Priyanka ran towards Anika and Omkara held Shakti’s hand and whispered to him some stuff and signaled on the bottle in Anika 's hand and Shivaay could see Shakti’s eyes widen in shock and looking at Anika with wide eyes then to Omkara

Shakti : oh dear god , oh no ..How you let her do that to herself?

And Shivaay couldn't help it anymore and ran towards them

Shivaay: what is going on ? Who did what? Anika did something to herself ? Why would she do something to herself ?

Shakti looked at Shivaay and then looked at the bottle and Anika then for Shivaay’s surprise Shakti smiled widely as his eyes got crowded with tears ..

Shivaay : sir ? Is everything okay

Shakti put his hand over his lips and closed his eyes for a moment to calm himself ..

Shakti : go sit beside your wife , Shivaay ..Take care of her and thank god every second for gifting you such love .

Shivaay looked at him confused as Shakti patted on his shoulder and said ..

Shakti : I have something very important to do

And then he rode the elevator as Shivaay looked at Omkara who smiled an awkward smile .

Anika : Shivaay ?

Shivaay went towards her and looked at Priyanka who was hugging her and leaning on her chest

Anika : Shivaay ? Priyanka said I was not normal and I don't remember that .

Shivaay : Piku ..Could you prepare a nice meal from your hand to Anika

Priyanka : yes of course bhai , but I will need the password so I can go and come as I want

Shivaay chuckled and said : oh Piku ..I activated the password just so you can’t do that

Priyanka pouted and went to the elevator as Omkara approached Anika who was a bit confused

Omkara : Bhabhi , do you remember me ?

Anika smiled and nodded as he smiled to her and added ..

Omkara : do you remember what we talked about then you tried and what I told you ?

And he signaled on her palm and she looked at him for a moment then her eyes widen and he smiled and nodded to her , suddenly she remembers that she tasted the medicine and didn't work , then she remember feeling frozen in the room ..Then she remember feeling great fear , then confusion , the medicine worked

Shivaay : what are you talking about ?

Anika hugged Shivaay and Omkara went towards the elevator and rode it as Anika smiled and said ..

Anika : I love you so much ..Promise me you will forgive me no matter what

Shivaay nodded and said : I forgive you but I don't understand .

Anika : Shivaay ? Do you remember anything about the day of the rape accusation

Shivaay eyes widen and swallowed as she added ..

Anika : please answer , it’s very important ..Every single detail

Shivaay: I don't remember much , I remember Ragini asked me to meet her in her house ..I remember waking up feeling headache and dizziness and confused as if scenes of the day flying out of my mind

Anika nodded and said : do you remember anything you drank before you went to meet her with about 20 minutes ?

Shivaay looked at her confused as Anika said ..

Anika : how long from here to Ragini’s house by your car ?

Shivaay: about 10 minutes or so , why?

Anika smiled widely and said : Shivaay , that is great

Shivaay : what is great exactly ?Anika, is what happened with you have any relation with what happened with me?

Anika smiled widely and hugged him and said ..

Anika : don't mind ..I am just so happy

Shivaay: Anika I am so worried , what happened to you ?

Anika : something that will never happen again , I promise. I am sorry you had to see this Shivaay , but please don't ask me ..I am so exhausted but I promise you , I will explain everything to you very soon

Again the elevator started ringing and Priyanka kept knocking and moaning as Shivaay chuckled .

Shivaay: she deserve this

Anika pouted as he nodded to her then went and opened the elevator for Piku as she frowned to him holding a tray with soup and juice .

Priyanka angrily: here you go Bhabhi , don't let him drink with you

Shivaay teasingly : Piku come on , I am hungry

Priyanka frowned and shook her head then she went to the elevator and said before it closes ..

Priyanka: Bhabhi , feed my brother too

The elevator closed as he chuckled and said ..

Shivaay : she is crazy (then he smiled and said) but she cooks the best soup and omelet , it's true

And he filled the spoon and she took a sip and swallowed then looked at his eyes that were looking at her with so much love .

Anika : the soup is really nice , try it

Shivaay took a sip of the soup then he gave her another ..

Shivaay: you know what is the password of our room ?

Anika shook her head as he chuckled and said ..

Shivaay : " LOF "

Anika chuckled and covered her face as he chuckled and said ..

Shivaay : a word no one knows but us and can’t be forgotten

Anika chuckled and opened her lips as he gave her another spoon of soup and she shook her head ..

Anika : okay ,I can’t have anymore , you finish it

Shivaay nodded and put the tray a side then leaned with his head on her chest ..

Shivaay : promise me you will be okay ?

Anika kissed his head and said : I promise you

Shivaay took her palm and kissed it pressing it to his lips and nose ,but his eyes widen and sat straight and looked at Anika with wide eyes ..

Shivaay : your hand smell like the bottle we found in the room , Anika

Anika eyes widen and swallowed : I was ...was holding it , Shivaay

Shivaay shook his head and said : this is your left hand , you were holding it with your right .

Then he held the bottle that was just on the bed and rubbed it in his hand and smelled

Shivaay : my hand doesn’t smell like medicine , Anika you never lied to me before , why are you lying now?

Anika looked down as Shivaay looked at her then his eyes widen and said..

Shivaay : we just found this bottle in the room (then he shook his head and said) Ragini wasn't looking for an earring was she ?

Anika swallowed and said : Shivaay , I think you were drugged so you can be framed in the rape and I think this bottle was the drug they used on you

Shivaay eyes widen and swallowed as Anika said ..

Anika : it makes a perfect sense , Shivaay ..That is why you couldn't prove or remember what happen in this night

Shivaay looked at her and said in low tone

Shivaay : just like what happened to you

Anika tears flow and said : I had to prove your innocence Shivaay I didn't know what to do ..I am sorry

Shivaay in low tone : you hurt yourself just to prove I am innocent , you took the medicine to show everyone what happens

Anika teared up and said : it’s because I love you (then she shook her head and said) I don't remember what I suffered

Shivaay : I do remember and I will never forget .. I will never forget how lucky I am to have you , I am so sorry you had to do this for me ..I love you so much

And for her surprise he hugged her and she chuckled happily as tears flow on her cheek

Anika: thank god. Thank god

Shivaay : I will take your right , I will take your right from Ragini

Anika swallowed and hugged him tighter thinking that his mind ignoring that Nanny was looking with Ragini for the bottle

After a minute his phone started ringing and he took the call

Shivaay : MR. Shakti sir ?

After 30 minutes ..

Ragini was pulling her suit case across the ground floor reaching to the door as her phone started ringing before she open the door !!! And looking at the number she smiled in relief .

Ragini : thank god you called , Veer ..I am calling you from hours. I need your help , I have to go from the mansion for week or two ...they found the bottle , I feel so stupid , it fell from me and the stupid village girl took the medicine to prove to everyone that we framed Shivaay in the rape

A slow clapping took her attention and she turned on the light only to see Anika clapping slowly and beside her Shivaay ..

Anika : you know, husband , it always amused me the scene in the series , when the villain confess his crimes that he was doing all the episodes and suddenly the hero listen to it all ..

Shivaay: right ? It makes you think who can be that stupid in real life but guess what ...

Anika : there are really such stupid people

Shivaay nodded as Ragini swallowed and said ..

Ragini : and who will believe you ? Papa is on my side and you are his wife Anika , you can say anything just to prove he is innocent

Shivaay nodded and said : you are right , but who said I am trying to prove anything ..I am just gloating , someone else is proving it for me ..I just get the fun of watching your reaction

Ragini looked at him and chuckled sarcastically then put the phone on her ear and said ..

Ragini : I will call you back , Veer

But suddenly the door opened and Ragini looked to the door and for her surprise Shakti was holding Veer (who half his face was wrapped) to his chest as his arm on Veer's neck as Veer 's phone in his hand and the echo of the sound clear ..

Shakti : you don't have to call back

Veer angrily : STUPID GIRL , YOU RUINED EVERYTHING

Shakti : WAKE EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE NOW (then he smiled to Veer and said) and Tej is in the way

Veer frowned and looked at Shivaay who smiled as the maids went to wake everyone and after minutes Priyanka and Omkara where down as Nanny just stood a side with wide eyes ..

Shivaay : oh right (then he looked at Anika and said) where is Ragini 's earring , Anika?

Anika got out the bottle as Ragini swallowed then looked at Nanny and said ..

Ragini : if I burn , you burn with me

Everyone looked at Nanny with wide eyes as she swallowed and looked at Shivaay who his smile vanished and looked at her shocked
