“Luna Evelyn.” A guard approached us and bowed as we turned our attention to him.
“You’ve been summoned.” He told me and I frowned, exchanging a look with Rosalie.
“By whom?”
“The Alpha council.”
“I’ll go with you.” Rosalie offered and I threw her a grateful look as the guard led the way, through several hallways and into a big meeting room.
My eyes were still swollen, and I still felt like I was about to collapse. Still, as I walked inside the room, I held my head high and strolled in confidently.
I had to keep reminding myself. I was not the same person I used to be. I had responsibilities and an image to protect.
