I placed a stack of cash into a guards hands, feeling uneasy as I waited for him to weigh the bundle.
“This all?” He c****d a brow at me and I tried my best to keep the annoyance from my face, smiling sweetly instead.
“Depends on the information you give me, I might double that if it’s worth it.”
“How am I to trust your words? You’re asking me to spy on my Alpha. Surely, you don’t think that kind of betrayal is worth this little change right?”
“Change?” I couldn’t hide what I felt now. “Give it back then. I’ll just find someone else to tell me what I want to know.”
“Fine.” The guard agreed with a sullen expression and my lips curled as I quickly began to question him.
“What did the rogue say to Gideon? I want to know everything.”
