I quickly tiptoed back to my room, i was going to get water when I overhead him say it, i didn’t even get to see his face,why does he want the eldest daughter, even after dad had placed Anna before me, getting married would take me away from this place I knew I would be happy I said to myself a knock from the door brought me out from my thoughts. It was Anna, I opened the door

“Dad wants you down right now”she said so angry I walked behind her

I met dad and my stepmom standing, she looked at me like she could kill me

“Master Julian this is my eldest daughter Genevieve” dad said introducing me to the man wearing a hoodie

I stood there mute,not knowing what to say, he was so handsome, he looked like he wasn’t real, is he really going to be my husband I asked myself feeling both happy and scared

“Genevieve master Julian has chosen you to be his bride” dad said staring at me as if telling me with his eyes to decline the proposal

“Don’t I can speak for myself ”master Julian said

He took my hand and I shivered in fear,he was a lot bigger than me,I had to raise up my head to look at him, he looked at me, face as cold as ice without any emotions

“You’ll be my wife, and we’ll be getting married soon”he said

I looked at him with surprise and shock, this handsome demon, isn’t he going to propose with a ring or at least ask me to be his wife, this was so disrespectful ,at this point I wondered how my life would be like being married to this demon, but i really wanted to leave this house. I looked at him showing no emotions as well

“That’s okay ” i said and turned towards my stepmom and sister they looked at me hatefully, but I couldn’t back out because of their looks

“I’ll like to talk to my wife alone” master Julian said walking out of the house towards his car, I followed closely behind wondering if he was taking me out of my father’s house without getting married to me

“This marriage means nothing to me, I am only doing this because it was signed by my father and your father, we just get to play husband and wife when we’re with our families do you get that” he said

Why does this sound like a warning that will put me into trouble if I do not take it seriously, on a second thought I liked the idea that we would not take anything seriously meaning I can do anything I want even after being married

He got into his car and drove off with his bodyguard, I walked back to the house slowly, fearing what I would experience with my stepmom and sister, I got inside and almost immediately they came over to me

“Why did you decide to marry master Julian you w***e, you would have told him you couldn’t marry him” Anna shouted at me

“How dare you accept his proposal, you’re such an ungrateful child after all I’ve done to take care of you after your useless mother died,is this how you want to repay”my stepmom pushed me

“You think you match his standards, you’re nothing close to him, listen here fool you would go to your father and tell him you don’t want to be married to master Julian”she shouted like she wants to bring down the house

“I didn’t choose to be married to him, he choose me mom” I said walking to my room leaving them staring at me as if I had just done something abominable,I have never walked out of them before, but now being engaged to master Julian meant one thing I couldn’t get a scratch on my body not even from dad, I smiled going to my room knowing that I could put up with everything except getting beaten until I leave
