Khan rode off into the darkness, leaving behind the desperate cries of his mother and the incessant growls and howls of the dogs in the village due to the commotion. He rode until he got out of the forest at dawn. He looked around him. Everything seemed new and refreshing. Unlike the elders and noble people in the clan, despite being the Pronce Khan was never allowed to step outside of the wall. Sighing, the young Prince got off the horse and tied it to a nearby tree before inspecting the place in search of food and water. He knew for one that he was somewhere near a desert where from the books he had read, food and water was rare. From the corner of his eyes, Khan caught sight of smoke wafting into the skies some distance away on top of a bridge. "There must surely be food", he said before untying the horse and mounting it. After an hour, Khan had successfully climbed on top of the mountain and now had a clear view of the lowlands. Before him was the entrance to what he presumed to be the entrance to what he presumed to be a village. With his face covered by the hoodie and cloth, Khan majestically rode into the village, inspecting his surroundings. It was morning now, so most households were awake and bustling with energy. As they went about their normal duties, the sound of a horse disrupted their attention. All heads turned to the village entrance and they saw a young man whose face was concealed and wore a red and black cloak with a sword on his waist ride into the town. He didn’t seem like a native of the village and the women began to whisper among themselves as to who he was. Khan could feel the gazes of everyone on him. He knew in his heart that he was not here for trouble and hence he continued on confidently. He first found a place to tie his horse before going into the village to find a head or leader and introduce himself. Just as he was about to that, two fierce looking men dressed in black with weapons worn all over their body approached him. Khan was puzzled as to what was going on and was about to speak when one of the grabbed him by the arm, the other man also grabbing his other hand. Silently, they marched Khan to the biggest structure in the village.
