"What is this?"
Uh, oh!
The whole room turns silent until... "Don't joke around like that, Jalissa."
"She's right. I know you mean well. You wanted to reduce the tension. But I don't appreciate the joke."
"But it's not a joke!"
"I told you, Jalissa. This isn't funny."
"And I told you, mom. This is not a joke!"
I raise my voice loud enough to make Damon come inside. My dad immediately scowls at him. "So, this is where the trouble comes from?"
"No. Both Damon and I are responsible."
"I know about that, but think about what he did to you and your mother."
"Hey. He's no more guilty than mom when it comes to the state of their relationship." Damon looks at me. He seems surprised but happy with my reaction.
"I can't believe you're defending this poor excuse for a man!"
Dad looks at Damon angrily and approaches him, ready to fight. "Dad, stop! You won't achieve anything by fighting him. Besides, I'm an adult. You have no right to mess with my private life!"
"I can't believe what I heard, Damon. I can't believe you were being unfaithful."
"So what? You've been doing the same damn thing with Frank." Damon lowers his voice and speaks calmly. "Besides, we were never going to work out, and we both know this. We're over, Kara and we've really been over for a while now, and it has nothing to do with Jalissa."
My mom lowers her eyes, sighing. "You... you're right."
"Glad we're on the same page now. Because my plan is to take care of Jalissa and our baby."
"I don't think that's going to happen. I bet you'll leave the first chance you get."
"For someone who cheated on mom, that's pretty bold of you. Don't you remember how you abandoned mom and I for that girl? I used to look up to you. I was proud of you. I thought you were the best dad I could ask for. But I was wrong. Very wrong."
Dad still frowns but I can see a hint of sadness. "I don't expect much from you now. Yet you still find a way to let me down. It's ironic how you and mom are great for each other but will make terrible grandparents. That seems to be the icing on the cake, and my mom raises her voice.
"Jalissa, that's enough!"
I shake my head sadly. "I... I need some fresh air."
I storm out of the house and Damon immediately follows me. "Jalissa, wait! You know you don't need to slow down. I'm fast enough to catch up with you."
I smile at Damon. "Thanks for trying to make me feel better."
"I'd just like to be the one to help you in situations like this. To cheer you up. To be your distraction." Damon tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear before gently touching my cheek. "I wanted to be here for you, so you won't feel like you need to run away when things get overwhelming."
"Well, be my guest."
"Then let's go."
He takes my hand and leads the way until we go to a boutique. "Taking me shopping for fun?"
"Yes."
"Okay. Let me see if I can find something to cheer me up."
"Wow."
"Surprised?"
"It's gorgeous. But no, I'm not surprised. You always look gorgeous. I'll never get tired of telling you that."
"Thanks. But... I'm not sure if this really helped. I still feel nervous about my parents finding out about us."
"Hmm... How about I take you to my favorite park? To really get some fresh air."
I nod and we go for a walk. Damon takes my hand and lets me walk in silence. After a while, I stop to think.
"So, now what?"
"We probably can't live in my mom's house anymore."
"You're thinking about moving out too, aren't you?" Damon's eyes light up and he looks excited.
"Yes, I'm thinking about moving to a new place. Maybe an apartment."
"Do you have any specific ideas?"
"Are you still trying to distract me?"
"Maybe."
I smile. "I do. I'm thinking of something arty. I've always dreamed of having a unique home with a strong personality."
"That's how I imagine our home would be."
"Do you think I'm being too specific on what I want? I mean, I'm probably asking too much, right?"
"Not at all. And I'd be happy to let you redecorate as you wish."
"But what about the money? I mean, decorating an apartment can cost a lot."
"You're right, but don't worry, we'll make it happen. I promise." Damon kisses me lightly. "So, which room in our apartment would you prioritize?"
"Why are we talking about this now?"
To distract you and de-stress you."
"Oh. Well, in that case... I'd prioritize the bedroom."
"Do you have any specific reason for that?"
"I do. I bet we'll spend most of our time there." I lower my voice to sound seductive and Damon smiles.
"You're right." Damon and I continue to talk about some details of our ideal home until I finally feel relaxed. "This feels so right."
"What do you mean?"
"Acting like a couple like this without being afraid to get busted. I feel like I'm finally free."
"Me too." Damon puts his arm around my shoulder. "So, how about you move into my apartment? Even though I moved in with your mother, I still have my own place."
"Oh! That sounds great! Besides, we could use some peace and privacy."
"Would you like to see it?"
"What? Now?"
"Yes, why wait."
"Oh, I'd love to!" He kisses me and takes my hand.
"It's not a long walk from here."
Damon and I arrive at his apartment. "So, what do you think?"
"It looks amazing. I can imagine myself living here."
"I'm glad you feel that way. But even if you have other things in mind about this place, it's okay. We could redecorate the whole place and make more room for you."
"Oh. That would be amazing!"
Damon nods as he looks around his apartment. "I have a question though."
"Shoot."
"After everything that happened... Would you move in just for the baby's sake, or... will you officially be my girlfriend?"
"Yes! I mean, to the second thing. I mean, of course I want to be your girlfriend!"
"Wow, I don't know what to say, I.." He looks overwhelmed, so I hugged him. He hugs me back and it feels like he wants to hold me like this forever.
"Sorry, I got carried away."
"So did I. But Damon, this is so nice. I love it."
"I agree. How about I give you a quick tour?"
Damon shows me around and finally, we end up in his bedroom. "Soon we'll be sleeping here together every night."
"I can't wait. And maybe... we shouldn't wait."
Damon smirks and kisses me. He lies me down on his bed and starts kissing and touching me. He seeks out every inch of my skin with his mouth. "It feels so good, not having to worry about getting caught."
"You... uh... you're right."
"I think we should take this to the next step. What do you think?"
"Yes." I smile as I pull him close and start kissing him. "You know what? When I said I agree with you, I truly meant it." I reach out to unzip Damon's pants and he smiles.
"So, do you want me?"
"Yes." I take his shirt off and start to kiss his neck before moving down to his chest and finally...
"Jalissa?"
"Yes?"
"You're so good at this."
"Damon... I'm glad you're enjoying this."
"Of course. You're amazing, Jalissa. You should've known that by now!"
I smirk and kiss him again. "How about we do it in every way possible?"
"That will take a long time."
"I don't care. I don't even mind doing this for days."
Damon grins before he lies me down and gets on top of me. His face is right in front of me as he undresses me and slides inside of me.
"Oh my god, Damon."
His body is moving against mine in such a rhythmic pace. His hands are on mine, our fingers intertwines and our pressure builds up. "This feels so good." I whisper in his ear.
At last, I can have s*x with him without having to worry about getting caught. "So, Jalissa, why don't you turn around and let me show you what I can achieve with that angle." Damon whispers in my ear, using every dirty word possible, turning me on even more.
"I'm all yours," I whisper as I grab the sheets.
"And I'm all yours." He whispers, giving his all. In the end, we share everything we have with each other, loving each other with no fear or restraint until it climaxes with an amazing ending. And we spent hours just enjoying each other. Our bodies comforting in warmth, our hearts bared by the intimacy.
Finally the evening ends, and it feels like we can't avoid reality any longer. We shower and get dressed. "We should go back to your place. Your mother must be worried."
"I'm not sure about that. She hasn't texted me or anything."
"Well, we still have to go back. We can't just run away from her."
"I know. Let's go."
"Are you ready?"
"Yes. I have many ways to defend myself."
"Good. No matter what happens, I know we will get through it, and it will all end soon." Damon takes my hand, making me feel better.
Suddenly, the door opens, and I see mom who has probably seen us through the window. "Come in. We need to talk."
