“D, are you excited to go to Rising Moon pack in the hopes of finding your mate?” Brandon my beta and little brother asked. “Well I hope I do, I don’t want the elder council to make me take a chosen mate. You are lucky you and Charlie were best friends and didn’t have to wait to find your mate. She really is a great yin to your yang. I want that for myself.” “D, there are 2 more mating balls left this year if you don’t find her tonight, but I have a good feeling it will happen. Don’t think about the council and just enjoy yourself tonight. Who would you choose if you had to take a chosen mate…please don’t say Lindsay. Hey, I’m Daniella Fenrirson, and I’m the future alpha of Rainbow Cloud pack. My parents Alpha Peter and Luna Margo are ready to retire and be grandparents to my brother Brandon’s and his mate Charlie’s babies and my future babies. My best friend James lost his mate in childbirth, and my parents have become her honorary “nana and poppy”. They would love if I chose James as my mate. He is the 2nd son of the gamma of our pack. His older brother was killed in a battle against a large pack of rogues, so he will be the gamma when I take over. James is hot, I will give him that, but I feel like my fated is going to be a shewolf. I’m definitely more attracted to the shewolves but I do love a strong male every once in a while. Sometimes at the same time as the shewolves. James and I also have the agreement that if I am mated to a shewolf, we will use his sperm to have pups. The unmated of age wolves all piled in their cars to drive the 2 hours to the Rising Moon pack. There were about 100 of us. I rode with my parents while my brother and Charlie stayed back at the pack. Charlie helped me pick out my dress for the evening and did my hair and makeup before we left. I would change when we got to the hotel. My dress was a dark navy sheath dress that was the perfect combination of classy and sexy with showing just a hint of skin. With my long blonde hair curled into a low chignon and my makeup looking impeccable, if I don’t find my mate, maybe I can find someone or someone’s to have fun with. After checking into the hotel and changing, with one last look in the mirror in my room, I feel my wolf starting to pace. “Are you excited Hera? Are we going to meet our mate tonight?” “Yes, she is here. I can feel her pull.”

I walk into the banquet hall with my mom and dad and it’s beautiful, ivory and lavender flowers and soft candle lights everywhere, the tables are covered in ivory silk. As more people walk in, I hear “mate” being called all over the place. I think I’ve counted 22 mates finding one another so far. Dinner will be served in 30 minutes so people are mingling around when I hear the sweetest sounding laugh. It sounds like angels singing. I start looking around to the source of the sound. As I start walking through the crowd, the most amazing smell hits my nose. Strawberries, lemon and basil. Hera is going crazy in my head. “Mate!! Mate is here!! Find her now dammit” We have to greet Alpha Jack and Luna Grace and their family before we go searching for our mate Hera, I remind her. As we walk up to the Lupone family, the smell gets stronger. I look at all the unmated Lupone siblings, I first noticed the emerald green dress. It fit whoever was wearing it like a second skin. If the head that is attached to the body in this dress is half as gorgeous, I am one lucky alpha. My eyes rake over the body of this goddess, slowly taking in every curve. As my gaze continues going up, I see a long elegant neck that I can’t wait to place my mark on. Next some of the pinkest plumpest lips I’ve ever seen on someone and I can’t wait to kiss them. On to her cute button nose that is dusted with soft freckles. I don’t want to look at her eyes yet, so I go back to her lips, she lightly licks the bottom one and suddenly I am jealous of that lip. I see her curly strawberry blonde hair in gorgeous curls that I can’t wait to grab ahold of. Moving back to her lips, she smiles. Alright time to look into our mate’s eyes and announce it to the world, she is mine. All of a sudden I feel like all the air has left my lungs as I gaze into the most beautiful jade green eyes I’ve ever seen. “MATE!” We say at the same time. I reach for her hand and softly kiss her fingertips and the sparks that erupt from the slight touch has my n*****s pebbled so hard against the fabric of my lingerie. “I’m Daniella Fenrirson, Alpha of Rainbow Cloud pack. And may I ask what the name of the most beautiful woman in the world is?” “I’m Annie Lupone, youngest daughter of Alpha Jack and Luna Grace of Rising moon.” “I accept you Annie Lupone as my mate and future Luna.” “I accept you Daniella Fenrirson as my mate and future alpha.” “Would you like to take a walk around the garden Daniella and get to know each other?” “Please call me D, or honey or baby, or shnookieookems. (She laughs at the last one. Goddess I love that sound) And absolutely yes, I would love to go walk with you in the garden. Please excuse us Alpha Jack and Luna Grace, I would like to get to know my Luna.” “You ladies have fun, dinner will be served soon, but take your time. You guys are adorable.” Luna Grace says to us as I link my fingers with hers as she leads me out to the garden.
