Betray or to be betrayed

CHAPTER 2

Emir's pov:

"Enzo he saved me and we were just messing around" said the mystery boy I just saved "what's your name" said a deep voice which belonged to the same man from my dream "MR BUFF", "Emir" I replied coldly the awkward silence was killing me so I just walked away only to be stoped by something or someone griping my wrist pulling me in front of him, it was Mr buff "what the hell" I angrily shouted at the i***t who stood before me "I was meaning to get a hold of you for how you humiliated me by disrupting my speech with the entire school" Mr buff says but I simply shrug and say "get out of my way dude and I dont give a s*** about your speech......the students probably hated you and your boring speech, well guess they owe me one" I mumbled the last bit quietly attempting to walk away once again only to be pulled back by the same imbecile "apologize" Mr buff says "no" I say smirking under my mask "wha- "no"....did you just say no" Mr buff says "so you really are deaf" I replied thinking about how Mr buff was deaf even in my dream but I was pulled back to reality by a strong punch to my face busting my lip with a weird metalic taste probably blood."Ouch," I muttered and looked up to see Mr buff look at me with no emotion in his eyes.

This dude just punched me and I was livid, so I punched back which took Mr buff by surprise but that was short-lived as Mr buff recovered from the punch and began walking toward me I heard distant shouting from the mystery boy telling Mr buff not to hurt me but Mr buff calmly says "Doruk take Alexai to the car and wait for me" mystery boy now known as Alexai put up a tough fight but eventually was dragged away by Doruk, I was so focused on the two's retreating figure that I didn't realize Mr buff was right in my face and before I could make a move Mr buff had thrown me to the floor and was now on top of me strangling my neck but Alexai the mystery boy rushed back just in time and pulled Mr buff off of me.

I kept coughing out loud and tried to breathe normally but I wasn't able to, my heart was beating abnormally loud and fast, I was sweating and my body was trembling with sweat dripping down my forehead "no.....please....calm down.. breath with me please" I simply listened to the voice and soon began breathing normally.

When my vision finally cleared I realized that my body was placed on someone's lap and my head laid on this someone's chest. I tried lifting myself only to be stopped by someone "are you alright" I then realized it was just Alexai the boy I saved "I'm good but your father is a psychopath" I said, he laughed and Mr buff who stood a few meters away from me chuckled darkly before saying "Alexai I'll meet you in the car" storming off, while his doggy Doruk followed after him.

I got off the floor with the help of Alexai "he's my older brother and I'm sorry for what he did to you, he's overprotective since I'm his "little brother" as he likes to refer to me as" my new found friend says but I reply saying "sorry for assuming that he was your father also you did nothing wrong so what are you apologizing for", our conversation was cut short by Doruk telling Alexai to hurry up so with that I bid Alexai goodbye with a promise to hang out tomorrow after school at his house.

My day was rather great but alas I made my first friend and met an apparent psychopath, Alexai's older brother Enzo is one emotionally distanced fellow, he kind of reminds me of myself not to speak of the similarities between us, he could be my clone only older.

I had my dinner which was laid out for me by one of my maids and it was really quiet which is normal for me, I always ate alone. I had no family, my mama passed away. Living alone at thirteen in this huge penthouse was fun there was no parental- figure in my life and I liked it this way. My life was lonely but comfortable, I would inherit my mama's multibillion-dollar company when I turn eighteen so I aspire to be a businessman when I grow older.

Zane my mama's cousin checked up on me regularly and made sure I attended school daily and was brought to and from school safely. The resort my mama owns delivers my three meals incorporating dessert which is the best part of my life, I loved food.

The next morning was peaceful the sun was shining but the weather was rather chilly so I put on black khaki pants, a black high neck long sleeve and a black puffer jacket, to finish off my look I wore a black cap and mask. I headed to school in my Bugatti, I wasn't old enough to drive so Ryan my chaffer drove me. we reached school, Ryan wished me a good day at school and I wished him a good day at work. All the sweaty gremlins were laughing and talking to each other in the hallways and I just wanted to go back to sleep.

The first class on my schedule for today was English and there goes my good mood if I ever had one that is.

The school was over, I notified zane about my visit to my friend's house and informed him that I already had a ride. Alexai gave me a ride to his home or let me say mansion, it was huge. His home was beautiful I've got to admit but Alexai pulled me up to his room not giving me a second to admire his house. Alexai warned me to stay in his room at all times as his older brother, Enzo had an important meeting on the ground floor.

Alexai and I played video games and we found ourselves opening up to each other, more like Alexai was opening up, I on the other hand kept my answers short. It was revealed that Alexai was raised by his older brother, Enzo whom he considers his father as both his parents passed on in a car accident thirteen years ago. Alexai questioned me about my home life and I simply told him that I was an orphan and lived alone, Alexai wanted to know more about me as he grew worried I was living alone but I brushed him off by saying my uncle zane checked on me regularly.

Alexai suggested we watch a movie so he left the room to get snacks. A half-hour passed and Alexai was a no show, I grew worried so I left the room in search of Alexai despite his warnings. I climbed down to the main floor and heard loud voices coming from a dark narrow hallway on the left, being an inquisitive person I followed the noise which led me to stairs leading to what seemed a basement. The stairs were hardwood and seemed to have splatters Of some kind of red substance. As I reached the bottom I took notice of a large black door situated on my right, on my left was a row of cells with bloodied and battered human bodies in them. The cells were guarded by armed large men in black suits, my existence went unseen by the men, with soundless footsteps I walked toward the black door opening it. The sight was unbelievable there stood hundreds of men dressed in black looking scared out of their wits as they watched a man more specifically Enzo repeatedly stab an old man, next to Enzo stood an unbothered Alexai watching his brother mercilessly kill the defenceless man. I grew angry non of these cowards were willing to help and the first friend I made was a psychopath just like his brother, so I hastily made my way through the men to leave this place. Unfortunately, someone grabbed my arm and shouted " boss an intruder" I knew my time to die had come so I accepted my fate with open arms watching Enzo come in hand with an axe walking toward me as the men cleared a path for their "boss". Enzo stopped right in front of me and lifted me with one arm bringing me to the front near the dead old man's body. Enzo dropped me to the ground and looked at a panicked Alexai saying " you know the rules". I would finally join my mother I thought as Enzo ordered "take off your mask and cap, now it wouldn't be so interesting not seeing the fear in your pathetic face as I chop your head off" Alexai was weeping but a glare from Enzo was enough to shut him up, never knew my dear friend liked me that much. I took off my cap and my black curls fell on my face I then proceeded to remove my mask looking down away from the intense stares of these monsters. Enzo's big rough hand grabbed my chin harshly and lifted my face, as my grey orbs stared into his grey orbs he dropped his axe and stumbled back shouting "everyone gets the hell out of here". All the men hurriedly left as murmurs were echoing, Enzo's eyes did not leave mine he looked at me with an unusual expression almost like he knew me. Alexai was the first to break the silence saying " how" and Enzo followed "I'm going to figure it out after having a chat with him" they seemed to not realize my existence so I angrily shouted "you sick monsters I'm right here" that seemed to grab their attention. Enzo lifted me and walked toward the black door with Alexai following right after. We left that scary place by climbing several stairs and walking through numerous hallways. Our final destination was a wooden door which led us to a study, Enzo sat me down on a cushioned fancy chair and dragged two other chairs in front of me. Enzo and Alexai sat down and stared at me causing me to scratch my right eyebrow, a habit I've developed when I'm uncomfortable, a deep mumble saying "he's mine" brought me out of my thoughts. I looked at the men in front of me and realized that Enzo and I look alike so I voiced out my stupid thoughts saying "sir we look alike, are you my long lost brother" I said the last part as a mockery well it was a bad idea as that seemed to anger Enzo "Alexai leave" he told.

what a traitor he left me all alone with this monster So I pouted sadly "freaking adorable" Enzo said causing me to glare at him is this man bipolar I asked myself, didn't he want to kill me a second ago "aren't you going to kill me now"

"WHAT NO" Enzo yelled and then asked me "who are your parents" I almost spilt the information before realizing who I was conversing with so I answered back coldly "And why would I tell you....wait so you could kill someone already dead no thanks "sir" just let me leave and not a soul will know what I just witnessed, I value my life" Enzo then looked at me saying "Asiye Quatez is your mother" wait how in the...how did he.. "HOW DO YOU KNOW MAMA" "you just confirmed it, so you are her son" he replied smiling at me which was scary so I raised a question"sir are you okay" he seemed hurt by my question and simply said "you will reside here in my mansion until I can trust you to keep your mouth shut" no,no, no this cannot be happening "sir......are you my mama's enemy, were you the bad guy who killed her" I asked crying uncontrollably remembering my mama, Enzo stood up and caught me off guard by lifting me off the chair carrying me like a baby saying "I was your mother's friend and no I would never hurt her, I learnt of her passing just now" he carsed my back calming me down and surprisingly I felt safe in his arms. My eyes were drooping as Enzo walked back and forth carrying me and seconds before darkness consumed me I heard Enzo say "I'm sorry Emir, Dada loves you and l will protect you with my life".
