THE MAN MURKTAR
Murktar was only eight years old when he began to hear adults speaking about their deep hatred for Israel, their reason being Israel’s occupation of much of Arab land. He heard more as adults spoke of things concerning Israel. This made young Murktar ask his father an unexpected question one day.
“Father, why should people with no home come and take our land?” Murktar’s father did not understand where his question was headed at first.
“Which people?”
“People from Israel.”
Murktar’s father got to understand exactly what his question was immediately when he heard his son’s response to his question. He chose not to say anything regarding that matter to his son.
