MADISON The secret of getting ahead is getting started (Sally Berger) I arrive at the White Oak Ranch at the end of a particularly torturous stretch of road; my father’s limousine, reeking of so much inopportune, ostentatious wealth, struggles to get there. Whoever’s decided to shut themself up here must have done it to escape from normality or certainly to hide themself; I’d never have thought the ambition of an international star was to isolate themself from the world. This is the only aspect that, at the moment, is in common with my existence: the need for somewhere quiet. Dr. Meyer said that this would be a temporary trial in which I’ll have to participate, however, giving it my all. I don’t precisely know what she meant by this, but I’ll try to make myself as useful as possible
