CHAPTER SIXTEEN –––––––– ELLA DROVE INTO WHITBY before eight. She felt restless, so she left home first thing that morning. She missed Mark’s body next to hers and spent a terrible night. The man decided to let her rest before her trip and left early the previous evening. Ella regretted that she hadn’t left soon after Mark’s departure, even though she would have arrived at her parents’ house around eleven or midnight.
