The sun had not yet settled to it’s peak, and a soft breeze kissed the convent’s garden, flowing through the tall hedge and bowing the white petaled daises that lined along the cobbled path beautifully.
Aria’s bare feet sank gently into the cool grass as she wandered without direction. She had woken up early, and even though she didn’t see Lucian next to her, she wasn’t bothered enough to ask. Her curiosity was always one to get the best of her, so she had left the room in hopes to find anything that could either help her or startle her.
But she stumbled upon the garden. She stopped near a patch of overgrown wildflowers, and leaned in to breathe in the scent of dandelions. She shut her eyes for a moment and let it sweetness fill her mind.
